This is the kind of game where I could look at all the possible variations and computer evaluations and wouldnt get any closer to understanding ANYTHING. You seriously need a human like Peter who is strong enough himself to have some sense of whats going on plus whos able to explain it and put the ideas into words. Thank you for putting this out there.
@03:25 Vishy already answered what the ''smile'' was about. They both calculated the line about the stalemate trick when Magnus promotes to a Queen. What a beast. Two 🐐🐐 of the game
I so appreciate Peter's analysis, insightful, informative and shows his passion for the game. Magnus's magic and Vishy's brilliant calculations were wonderfully high lighted.
1. Thank you very much Master Svidler for quick & brilliant analysis. 2. V Anand is a Genius. 3. The God of Chess Endgame is Carlson. 4. The person who quoted Carlson as the God of Chess endgame is the God of Chess, Garry Kasparov.
Peter Svidler is such an amazing analyst and character. This is aside Peter Leko analysis of his victory against Caruana in Grenke Open the two best pieces of chess content on youtube. Amazing.
Absolutely Magnificent Analysis!!! Have been trying to understand looking at the engine but just couldn't...this covered everything!! Just one small correction from the engine - after Vishy's Qd4, if Magnus goes c1=Q then Qe3+ from Vishy does still work, as Kc2 from Magnus will lead to bishop capture Qxd3 from Vishy. As he himself said, Peter just really loved the aesthetics of stalemate while keeping the bishop on the board!!
Yes I was wondering the same during the video but peter obviously had very little time to study the endgame and prepare for this video and he really wanted to show the aesthetic side of this study like endgame
7:27 Svidler shows Qe3 Kc2 and says it's not a draw anymore. But it is, because of Qe3 Kc2 Qxd3 draw. I'm too far removed from Svidler but Sagar perhaps you could show him that. 🙂
If after Vishy queened his second pawn, Magnus had pushed his black pawn to c3 to avoid stalemate - as Peter suggests he should have - it would have opened Vishy up to a series of dangerous checks, eventually leading to the loss of both black pawns without queening either of them effectively.
Vishy anand and magnus played beautifully. But cmon vishy being aged gave a great fight and even magnus was amazed by his perseverance and concentration
Analysing live on a real chessboard without computer assistance. Bravo GM Svidler! I wish Mr I don't believe in fortress had played to the position in 11:18😂
Always a pleasure to listen to Peter’s analysis.🤘
Absolutely.
after checking it with his phone
The piratical Svidler & his "Devil-may-care" smart phone! ;-)

A treasure
Immense analysis for an immense game. Svidler is amazing.
Peter Svidler is great. One of my favorite chess personalities.
Magnus and Vishy have created an absolute endgame masterpiece which will endure as long as chess is played!
calm down
@@NrthrnKnghtcalm down, Girl, this your body e put my heart for lockdown
.... fact that you call him a fangirl simply shows that you are a child, at best.
The sheer joy Peter gets in spilling out the details of a position!
Too bad he doesn't get this opportunity when live.
@@HinduDharma839 I meant the organizers want him to dumb down his usual analysis. In this video he does it with full freedom

@verylogicalguy9216Nice
Peter is just the sweetest guy ever. Crazy skill, ultra modest and a great looking lad 🤟
One of the best analysis videos ever. The physical board is so nice, Peter's analysis is so damn good
@03:25
Vishy already answered what the ''smile'' was about. They both calculated the line about the stalemate trick when Magnus promotes to a Queen. What a beast. Two 🐐🐐 of the game
Just beautiful analysis! Also the way Peter moves the pieces and puts them down is very pleasing😂
this, for me, is one of the best chess videos of 2023 so far. there should be a prize or sth
I so appreciate Peter's analysis, insightful, informative and shows his passion for the game. Magnus's magic and Vishy's brilliant calculations were wonderfully high lighted.
And the fact that this was a 'rapid' game makes it even more stunning in its brilliance.
stunning endgame and thanks for breaking it down, Peter!
7:35 Qd3x check also draw
7:25 Qe3+ it's still draw, cause after Kc2, white plays Qxd3+ and both captures (with pawn or with king) in d3 are stalemate
Svidler needs to do more of this, what a brilliant analysis 🔥
Well players have to create the positions first......
What an epic match, chess fans were thrilled

The appreciation of the beauty of the game only increases. What a wonderful game Chess is. ❤
Brilliant analysis by GM Peter ! We need in depth analysis from Dr Karsten Muller
Thanks Peter for breaking this down. Watching it live was exhilarating enough, but once you consider these variations...these guys just created art!
Fantastic stuff! The endgame seems to never run out of spectacular study like ideas. Great analysis, Peter.
That line he showed with Qe2+ leading to stalemate is beyond art….I’ve never seen anything like it! Peter is still a shrewd old fox! Loving it.

Thanks a lot to Peter fr great analysis.. loved it..
Peter rocks, great job with the analysis. Very entertaining for an epic game between two chess legends.
I agree with Peter. This felt like an endgame study. A legendary endgame by both the legends!
One of the best analysis videos i have seen till date.
Wow!! Just wow!!..chess is beautiful❤

Analysis 👌👌👌 Vishy & Magnus 💐💐 And smile between magnus & Vishy Respect each other!
I LOVE seeing top level analysis on a proper chessboard instead of the ubiquitous computer diagrams. Thanks C.B.I. and Peter S. for this video clip.
Very good and clear analysis by Svidler, I enjoyed it!
Svidler is a master at explaining over the board.
Amazing. Thanks for bringing the beauty to life Peter.
At 7:29 Svidler is wrong ("this is not a draw anymore"). Qxd3+ is an instant draw.
Omg just beautiful stuff by Svidler ❤
11:01 garram sutte by supreme leader in background :D
Great analysis by Peter.. He has no substitute indeed.
Legendary Peter Svidler commentating on an amazing game between 2 world champs ! Kudos to Chessbase India ! did I see Keti in the background ?
This extraordinary endgame will end up in a book someday ... THESE AWESOME PLAYERS ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD ...
Brilliant! Thank you for the analysis!
I miss Peter svidler commentary in other mainstream tournaments
I can't believe it happened all of a sudden in this tournament. This is so much interesting!
Gotham should make video on this.😊
Another gem of this era another great analysis from Peter
Thank you Peter.
Thank you very much for this explanation. Wow!
need more of peter !!!
They will be talking about this game for decades if not centuries.
You have to love Peter's clear love of the game. ❤
Beautiful chess beautifully explained!
Incredible endgame.
Peters analysis is as beautiful as the game. ❤
Now we want Vishy sir to analyse this game.. Before that Master Svidler OP..👌👌
Words of wisdom Peter!!
Kudos GM Svidler 🎉 Best chess commentator
This endgame was crazy
Analyzing on a physical board ❤
Heartbreaking stuff. Endgame of Champions....
Qd3+ or Qxd3+ makes an easy draw in a couple of positions. Good analysis all the same!
nice to have the analysis on a real board
Wow! What an analysis
Amazing analysis !!!!
legendary analysis ❤
brilliant analysis peter!!!
9:02 i dont think this option was explored enough

Good video!
Svidler in full form. Well done
Awesome ending!
7:35 Qd3!! is a draw!!
Yep, either way of capturing the Q b3 is still covered.
Legendary Peter!
The beauty of the game
beautiful, thanks peter
Svidler is such a boss.
An endgame for the ages
My god (magnus), what a fantastic video
Analysing live on a real chessboard without computer assistance. Bravo GM Svidler!
I wish Mr I don't believe in fortress had played to the position in 11:18😂
7:25, one doesn't need to play Qf2# right? At 7:30, white can take the bishop and no matter how it's recaptured, it's still stalemate
Absolutely legendary
oh yes, the epic match that was played in 2023 magnus vs vishy
thnks Peter! a true master
peter svidler and j polgar is yhe best coaches
Beautiful.
Master Peter 🎉
Amazing game of chess !
Thx Peter
But Qe3+ is also a draw after Kc2 there is Qd3+
at 7:29 after King to c2 Vishy can play Queen takes Bishop and still draw, no?
Such nice comments:))
beautiful!
That is absolutely ridiculous. If insane is honor this is it. They played the endgame in seconds. And with a queen on the board is it even an endgame?
Anyone have a stream link of the game?
