***** Relax.Even in The Comics,Lex had hair at first,he will inevitably lose it.That is confirmed.As for how he loses it,I won`t spoil that detail but if you`ve read the Silver Age Comics which this incarnation of Lex is strongly based upon you`ll have a general idea of how that might happen.
***** Lex is a major league narcissist.The fact that Jesse sounds pretentious means he`s doing The Character right.Also,this is an early trailer.Jesse isn`t gonna act the way he does in this trailer for the entire film and he will show Lex`s darker side in The Film.
Lex isn't supposed to be intimidating. His weapon is his mind. He manipulates people, and gets big guns to do his dirty work.

TheDarkKnight 809 Well we don't know if they're gonna go down the Jason Todd path. They may change the character out for one of the other incarnations of the character. Just because Jason Todd is the Robin that died in the comics that doesn't mean he will be the Robin to have died in the movie. I'm willing to bet there will have been only one Robin and he would have died at the hands of the Joker, teaching Bruce a lesson about dragging others into his battles. However the question still remains which Robin will it be?

Wakinyan Martinez rumors have it that Dick Grayson is the one who is dead not Jason. Which I hope it's not true.
My point is, why does it have be Jason Todd? Just because he became the Red Hood in the comics that doesn't mean it's a necessity in the movies (they may not even use the Red Hood). Say if Batman only ever took on one sidekick/apprentice (Robin) and that person died. Thus teaching Batman that it's a mistake to put another persons life in danger by drawing them in to his personal vendetta. He surely wouldn't take on another ward (repeating his mistake), so just for the hell of it which incarnation do you use Dick Grayson, Jason Todd or Tim Drake? The movies can re-write the mythos, so it may be there was only ever one Robin. Hell, they may even use them all, but that still doesn't mean Jason Todd needs to be the one who dies or even becomes the Red Hood.

Cian Enright DC and Marvel are not enemies. They've crossed paths before, and most comic book authors work for both companies. DC doing well only helps Marvel, because it boosts interests in comic book movies. And even if DC does better than Marvel, it won't hurt Marvel. Marvel is rolling in money.

They're not fighting Lex in this movie. This is just setting up Lex Luthor, probably for the Justice League movie. I believe they put Lex in this trailer to throw people off about who the actual villain is. Rumor has it, it's Doomsday.

BDizzle709 I still don't understand how people came to doubt Ben Affleck skills, as someone who is a highly regarded actor, it still baffles me. Jesse Eisenberg is an excellent actor and he's probably the most convincing of all the cast choices. But I do get that it's usually tough when people are more familiar with a certain image and portrayal of a character. They develop certain expectations. But it's always important to keep an open mind because just because someone matches a certain look, it doesn't mean that they can deliver a convincing performance. Like how people gave Heath Ledger shit, and now Jared Leto, for trying to portray the Joker because they didn't fit the physical image or personality of the iconic character. It's important to know that a different take on a character can be just as mindblowing as what you want to expect from how the role is played. In Jesse's case, from the first teaser trailer alone, just by the monologue he gave and the tone in which he presented it as it played in the background, was captivating. And it's clear that he has some of the more memorable and spine chilling lines in this film. For Lex Luthor it's all about mind games. About brains over brawn. About controlling the situation by manipulating the people around you. And Jesse is the perfect man to make that vision come to life. That's why he was chosen.

Anthony Shepherd-Keys Is capatain hopscotch in the team? He would crush them all with his huge feet.
Choosing Jesse Eisenberg was such a great casting choice. Ben Affleck too. Look at the way he expresses all that rage with just his eyes and the tension in his muscles. That's amazing to me. These are two extremely versatile actors who always give whatever character they portray a life of their own. They were beautifully casted.
But honestly, more than anything, what I ESPECIALLY love about what DC is doing with these films, is how (it seems) that they're going to tie them up together by crossing them over. At some point all these films are going to overlap. It's not going to be by a little cameo or easter egg, no it looks like they're legitimately going to talk about certain events and characters directly, not just allude to them. Just like how Man of Steel is already, possibly, connected to the destruction of Wayne Tower, making the people believe that despite trying to save the world Superman can ultimately destroy it. It's unnatural for a being to have so much power without there being some kind of consequence and this storyline addresses it. Then you have the connection to the Suicide Squad, possibly with Jason Todd's death since you can see Batman there and the Robin suit in this trailer with Joker's writing on it, and how it will tie into the Justice League and the stand alone Batman film. Like if that's what they're doing... then I have absolutely so much faith in the DC franchise because that's is going to be amazing. And seeing this trailer and how it's all coming together, they made a brilliant decision using Batman vs Superman as a way to introduce the new franchise.I'm so excited!!!!!
Edited in: Oh, I also don't think Lex Luthor will be the main villain in this film. He'll definitely be the antagonistic-type as you can see by the way he's manipulating Superman and provoking him to go against Batman. But he's definitely not going to be the main villain. There's definitely more to it than that and I don't think they're going to show us who it is right away. We still have another year to go so they might keep it hidden until it's closer to the release date. Lex Luthor's purpose here seems to be to get under Superman's skin as a catalyst to something bigger, the fight between Batman and Superman. He's neither supposed to be physically intimidating or scary. With him it's all mind games. You need to have a little more faith in Jesse Eisenberg and the Lex Luthor he's going to deliver.

Fuck it. I like Lex. A dude so fucking aware of his own intelligence and superiority, he wears it on his sleeve. Definitely sold that. And the "Red Capes"/"Red Coats" reference? That was nice... Cuz if everyone thought the mayhem over Superman/Zod was nuts... Surely, the Batman/Superman face-off is gonna be insane too. This Lex is smart enough to point out that it's not just Superman's presence that's a problem... it's the sudden surge (or maybe even a resurgence) of the Superheroes that can potentially pose a threat to humanity.
Can't say what hasn't already been said.... 2016 couldn't come ANY sooner.

I love the shot when everyone is running from the building collapse and Bruce is running in.
lex made superman kneel to him. his intellect is his weapon. that's why he's so scary. he always outsmarts you. notice how he was mocking the fear of superman with his last line? he enjoys superman's ridicule and he probably orchestrated a lot of it. he's a master manipulator.

On that "Red capes" line, what do you make of it? Because the way I see it is that he is basically mocking Superman and Super powered beings in general, so it wasn't cheesy and I thought his delivery was spot on.

Excited for the movie and I love watching these trailers. stumbled on your channel and it's good to see that I wasn't the only one to react this way about trailers. love you videos and keep up the good work. Definitely a robin suit and in this film Alfred is retied MI6 I think. Also when Bruce mention how many heroes stayed that way, I believe he is referring to Jason Todd becoming the Red Hood, also some sources have mentioned that Lex may take General Zod's body and make a form of Doomsday.. but will have to wait till the film comes out to be sure. Recently I watched the new Dragon ball Z film the return of Frieza and it was AMAZING!!

Bruce's building was destroyed in Man of Steel. That's why he was running toward that building in the beginning of the trailer. That was a clip referring to MOS
Don't you think at 0:50 that was when Zod was using hes lazer eyes in the building in Man Of Steel and Bruce Wayne was seeing it for himself and so he went in for a little girl so now hes concerned about how superman is handling this.
And plus at 0:53 you see something flying out the building.

I love how in the beginning of the trailer we see Superman fly to the court and outside the people are holding up signs reminiscent of the Westboro Baptist Church signs. Same color and similar in words. "Aliens doom Nations" and "God hates Aliens." Very interesting because when I think about it, this would be something they (or at least an alien equivalent hate group) would do.
i would like it if you watched the 4 trailers to R.W.B.Y that came out a few years ago. you would likely really enjoy them a lot. the trailers are Red, White, Black and Yellow.

Yep Jason Todds suit with the joker graffiti on it from the comics and the building coming down at the beginning is Wayne tower the reason Bruce Wayne is so angry is because lots of his employees die and he considers them a family as he has none other than Alfred
Also interesting to mention Zack Snyder said in on the WB panel at SDCC that the bat mech suit doesn't really enhance batmans strength as such it is more for self preservation it's meant to keep him alive long enough to survive Supermans onslaught

I LOVE all the allusions to Red Hood in this one and the SS trailer! Seeing Jason on the big screen would be goddamn sweet! One question about this trailer, though: do we know if the little girl Bruce is hugging is someone special or just a random symbol of innocence?

This movie is going to make a lot more people become Superman fans I feel. I have loved him since the days of Reeve but this new Superman is dealing with a struggle that makes him feel real. People will relate to this and find him much more likeable. I also feel this movie has just instantly made Man of Steel an even better movie now that it is connected.
