Like with Suicide Squad, I lack faith in this. I didn't like MoS, it was a depressing grimdark Superman I just didn't enjoy. Eisenberg Luthor is a fucking weenie, it just doesn't fit the character at all. I still have my doubts about Batfleck. Oh hey, but at least we'll get to see Bruce's parents die one more time, because we haven't seen that enough. Gal Gadot looks about as much like Wonder Woman as I do. I fully expect them to have no idea what to do with her part, and it'll feel tacked on and pointless. I predict this movie will be a series of setups for set pieces, be completely predictable, and leave a bad taste in the mouths of true believers everywhere. 15-year-old me would've love this shit, though. It's a shame I had to grow up.
Chad Tremblay MoS pushed me away from the character. Superman should be the embodiment of hope, not this 'shades of grey' type that wrestles with moral dilemma. The reason I chaffe at Batfleck isn't his acting, he's a great actor. It's that I can't get out of my head the fact that he's Ben Affleck. It was different with Heath Ledger, who put on the role of Joker the way most of us would a suit. Affleck just...he's Affleck. He can't put on Bruce Wayne in any way that's going to make me forget that. Gal Gadot is a terrible miscast. She's a toothpick of a runway model. She looks like _I_ could break her in half, and I'm skinny as fuck. People wouldn't accept a skinny Superman, I don't know why they're fine with this. It's a real shame Lucy Lawless got too old. She would have been perfect.

Noj776 Actually, I was going for a sort of self-depreciating comment on myself. You see, I recognize how cynical I'm being about this, and I think it's due to my age. I'm much older than a lot of the people watching this, and I've seen Hollywood fuck things up so much I tend to be a lot more jaded. I threw out an age I can remember not being quite so harshly critical, which was fifteen. It wasn't to call other people immature for liking this. So, y'know...stop being a dick.
