Hoarders really need counseling before sending in these angels. Otherwise their time is wasted
Exactly.. their delusions and source of trauma absolutely needs to be addressed
She shouldn’t even be allowed to live there! Her home is a biohazard!
That hoarding "crafts" lady irritated me so much towards the end 😭
There’s some that live in a full blown biohazard going to affect others so that’s the primary concern. There should definitely be some sort of follow up service to keep checking in on them but there’s just no funding/ resources that aren’t already overwhelmed with clients
@@cloud9_26 she will just get worse, she showed no signs of changing at all. She will end up being a body amongst all those boxes of craft crap
WHY IS SHE BAREFOOT STEPPING OVER 'GEORGE'S BATHROOM'?! WHY IS SHE BAREFOOT IN THERE AT ALL?! OMG.
That is what I was thinking
I visibly gagged at that scene
I think she stepped on a turd, too.
Haha! I was thinking the same thing! Like omg wtf! So gross

And that one will probably stay there for the next 2 years...
I need a laugh react for this comment 😂😂😂
Tell me your dog has ZERO house training, without telling me…
As someone with cats, yeah, that's pretty common
@@Morgenstern11133 ive had cats my whole life and we never had bathroom accidents except on a couple of isolated occasions ( when Maxwell died his bowels evacuated pof course; and when honeybear ( who lived 20 years and 3 months, she had an upset stomach one time, and the other time was a couple days before she passed, she had an accident, but i always kept litter box clean and fresh, and kept a clean house, and weve never had any issues with potty accidents .
The house with the blocked toilet and rotting floor needs to be condemned
Those things can be fixed lol
@@raymondleggs5508no they can’t. Not easily at the very least!
I would agree with you but then again, in this economy, who the hell can afford to have their own home condemned? Like where are they supposed to go?
Exactly
@@cloud9_26they did destroy it. They have to come with solution. Pretty easy to me…
I feel bad for George the chihuahua. Didn't go outside in 18 months 😬
🤯😱😖😭
That's animal cruelty.
@@venus189 Straight up animal abuse!😢😡
It's sad. Poor pooch! Locked in a dirty prison. Not healthy for a dog.
"Has agoraphobia" ..next scene is her going down the stairs and out for the day, doggy too 🤨🤨🤭
Had no problem leaving to have her place cleaned lol
The "Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui" book amid the clutter was the cherry on top for me 😂 also, she can afford a million bottles of vodka, but not puppy pads for her dog to crap on? Priorities people 🙄
12 months from now Paula will be back in the same position. I pray she can look outside her depression and appreciate the gift given to her strength to keep her home clean for that amazing pet that is worth the effort.
If only dealing with depression were that easy
All those bottles of vodka explain the condition that flat is in. Poor doggy.
Great episode. Those cleaners should never have touched that toilet that was blocked with sewage. The whole bathroom needs to be replaced. I do not know much about small dogs but I wonder if George could be litter box trained like a cat.
He can. But it will take time and patience.
Yes, they even make doggy versions for just that purpose
I doubt that dog can be trained to go to the bathroom in the correct places again. It had free run of the house too long.
I actually have a “litter box trained” Maltese. But it’s a special kind for dogs with a little grass patch. I wash the entire thing twice a week, I scoop the poop immediately and flush it down the toilet , and I sanitize it after he pees and after he poops every time in the meantime. We live many floors up in an apartment. We take him out once a day but he’s scared of the stairs and due to a disability it’s hard to take him out on a regular schedule, and I don’t want to make him hold it all day. He does really well but he started as a puppy.
The dog doesn‘t need to be litter box trained, he needs to go OUTSIDE! That‘s cruel, she should‘nt own a dog
SHE WAS BAREFOOT STEPPING ON THE DOG SH IT
If its dried up like that and you close your eyes, you can pretend to be walking at a rocky beach.
My God that's sick💀
As someone who faced these disorders as the first woman I can say that it's not an excuse for that mess. It's rather laziness or something else. And I feel sorry for the poor dog, it's very selfish of her to have a pet if she can't take proper care of it
Indeed. I also had anxiety and was too afraid to step a foot out of the front door, but my house was clean.
Agree, she's just a nasty lazy person.
So the poor little dog never gets a walk by the look of things. Terrible.
Every one experiences anxiety and depression in different ways. What seems easy to one person can seem like climbing Mount Everest to another.
@@michellebloch8970while that’s true if she can’t take care of an animal she shouldn’t have one. That dog wasn’t potty trained and/or was clearly never let outside much less taken on walks and was constantly having to walk around in its own filth and hers. There’s no excuse for that.
For some weird reason I feel Georgie will be leaving little presents all over the house to NEVER be picked up.....😮 💩
Please do FULL EPISODES for each flat cleaning!!
yes pleaseeee
I just love these hardworking, dedicated and non-judgmental cleaning professionals,. Maxine is an amazing person! They all are. My heart goes out to the people whose lives get them to this stage. They could be right next door to us, and we might never know until it's too late.
Surely they should be using better PPE when they're dealing with that much human and animal faeces; even the rotting food is a major biohazard!

ABSOLUTELY 💯
If I was one of those people, I'd just cry my eyes out seeing the 'after.' These cleaners are truly doing such meaningful, life changing work. The only job that made me pause was Joyce with all the arts & crafts. She doesn't seem to get it, you have to throw the excess things out to be able to enjoy what you have. If she would have been more open, they could have cleaned her entire place and she could happily live there as a human, instead of just existing in this warehouse for all her boxes.
Hoarding really needs counseling before people ho in as sudden huge clean ups are traumatic for them. Thats why they still
Hang on to rubbish when cleaners are there. Arts snd crafts bring things to a whole new level as there us a lot go store and creatives can use anything so another heart pain to get rid of. Rule for life: dont buy so much stuff ever. When you get older you have to chuck half of it away anyway
Oh my God, that toilet. Brave brave cleaners
Stupid cleaners. They needed a specialist biohazard team to come in And properly remove the human waste and dispose of it properly
I hate to say it but I feel like all of these was a waste of the cleaners time :( it's just going to go right back
Absolutely.
Yep. First one is an alcoholic, second one already had her hoard back and the third one obviously is not able to live on his own any longer.
It's not a waste of time. Mess is cumulative. The new hoard would have just gone on top of the previous one and the things rotted would continue. That logic is why the hoard is there in the first place
This episode was a real eye-opener. It's astonishing how quickly a situation like this can escalate. Kudos to the cleaners for their professionalism and dedication in tackling such a challenging task.
Yeah I had agoraphobia/anxiety for 6 years and my house was spotless. Paula is an alcoholic.
Agoraphobia and anxiety doesn't prevent her from tossing trash each week.
Garbage. That many bottles over 2-3 years is nothing.
And lazy. If she can leave the house for 3 days while someone cleans it, she walk walk to the garage bin outside. She is just lazy
@@Adelaideloz I was saying the same thing. I've seen other shows with people that are agoraphobic and, short of knocking them unconscious and taking them out, you couldn't get them to leave their living space. If she has agoraphobia it's SUPER mild.
@@bradallen8909 Well, she said it's from 2 - 3 years. Doesn't mean it's true. My father was a raging alcoholic. They lie. Always.

The person who left the toilet like that needs to be charged of all fines for replacements for the floor and more.
The toilet should be torn out and replaced
Why don’t the cleaners wear masks?
I feel so bad for Joyce. She reminds me of myself before I was properly medicated for my depression and ADHD, (though not to such an extreme degree). I would always buy art supplies and be SO excited to start a project, and then just...have no energy to do anything with it, so it would sit and collect dust. And then I'd buy more, and more, and that vicious cycle would continue ad infinitum. I hope she's doing much better.
❤❤❤ What a true and kind statement 👍
The toilet....just.....killed me🤢🤢🤮🤮.
After watching the show Hoarders for years, these places aren't exactly surprising really.. I'd comment on the lady who has a dog that she obviously never takes outside, but I guess it's just a relief that the poor pooch isn't mummified under a pile of garbage or piece of furniture.. smh.. My mom was seriously mentally unstable and suffered numerous health issues for most of my life, and she would always end up creating similar deplorable living conditions if there wasn't someone living with her to make sure it didn't get like that, so I guess that's partly why I have a sort of understanding for some of these individuals.. some of these places are just absolutely beyond reproach and I have trouble understanding why they don't even attempt to get help for themselves to manage their mental health issues, but I don't like to stand in judgment of others when I don't fully know they're issues.. I pray for them all though ❤❤
The house owner looks physically fit and healthy. Can't imagine her home look like that. She need to move around and do little by little daily.
"looking physically fit and healthy" says nothing about mental health though...
Able-bodied people have no excuse and they need to stop being so fucking lazy.
To go out with a dog, a few times: no poo in the house🤨
That dog probably doesn't even know he's supposed to go outside for a BM.
When he's outside, he probably holds it until he gets back in, where it feels right to go.
Did you even watch the video? She can't go outside due to her sickness - agorafobia
@@bethm8593yeah they make little toilets like a patch of grass you water and you can scoop poop off them like you would outside. He would need training to use it but she's mentally unwell she won't bother and it'll be the same again soon. Notice she laughed when he did it on the floor? If she was even remotely ever going to change she would have stopped then and there, cameras rolling and said "let me get that now!"
Why is her agoraphobia keeping her from picking it up and throwing it away in the trash?
@@ms_cartographertrue lol that’s just laziness
I love maxines laugh. It's so genuine. I just love her.
I hope the people in these shows are offered counseling and maintenance cleanings as well. They clearly have showed that they are not well enough to properly care for themselves and their spaces and without further ongoing help they will not be able to maintain the cleaned spaces
Visit them again and see if they clean their houses.
Probably not. Someone else will always have to clean up after them
With addicition, there is always the Chance of relapse - and not umcommingly so. This does not mean the efford is fruitless … it sometimes needs more than one approach to „get clean“.
Considering how much can get into the body through the eyes, I would be wearing eye gear as well...
The very first day we brought my then large breed puppy home he went in the backyard to poo but didn't quite manage.
He was 3 months old and still being trained. I'm sure he was very overwhelmed.
My boyfriend and I laid down for bed and that dog immediately took the stinkiest poop I've ever smelled in my life.
Right in our bedroom.
We had hardwood floors luckily, and deep cleaned it straight away, but even with all the windows open the smell was choking the rest of the night.
I can still almost taste the smell if I think about it. It is imprinted in my mind.
Imagine what poor George the dog's home smelled like.
I love the happy and innocent music in the beginning in contrast to the jump scare that's awaiting barely a minute later :D
Why do the cleaners only have 3 days to clean the apartments and wouldn't it be better to paint and renovate the houses/flats straight away? They are often in a miserable state.
So she’s got agraphobia!! Who’s delivering the vodka or can she go out to get it?
Why does she have a dog. How is the dog going for a walk?
@@minoublome8205 It's not going anywhere. Hence the pile of poo :/

For someone with agoraphobia she sure did leave easily. I think the drink is the real problem
The air quality alone would be a health threat .
Right, the dog poops on the floor and the owner doesn't even make an attempt to pick it up and dispose of it. She thinks it is cute. WTAH?
I think people like that nastiness !!!! Yuck !!!! I get nauseous watching it !!!!
The lady with the craft supplies is me when im old 💀
when I had terrible depression and was being treated, I couldn’t get out of bed for hours, didn’t wash my hair and ate haphazardly. But I had a small child for whom I lived and did everything to make him happy-cleaned, cooked , played and bathed him, took him to classes. Here I see a woman who is simply stepping over her dog’s sh*t with her bare feet, instead of bending down and cleaning it up, it would have taken ten minutes. ok, still trash and things, but sh*t.. And how is she not ashamed to look into the eyes of these two women.
Nurgle's presence is strong in that bathroom.
I'm so sorry but I couldn't help but laugh when they said the first lady hadn't left her house for a year. I was like what's the problem then, she had plenty of time to clean 😂😂😂 When they had to shovel out that toilet I found myself not breathing through my nose 🤢
I hope these people get paid very well for this work
No, they just get citrus bleach.
Anxiety and depression are not an excuse to live in filth! Poor dog. I know from wince I am speaking, if you realize that you have depression and anxiety that is half the battle and deal with it. To live in the unbelievable filth these cleaners deal with if well…unbelievable
This is true as a sufferer myself. This is just pure laziness and just nastiness.
Yup. I don't believe all of this, every one is depression. We've come to the point where we put a medical label on everything. Or call it a disease.
The dogs shitting on the floor in 30 seconds is enough. You just know what this place will look like in a month again. It’s really sad after all that work.
Not meaning to sound hard but I would have anxiety if I lived like that. Honestly, I would be sick & I wouldn't subject my animal to it either. Hope she can keep on it & stay clean.😮
That's why owners don't want to rent properties out anymore...
That mess is more than a year and a half or a couple years.
I had a mate who would keep their pets indoor... always indoor!! So every now & then when I visit I'd notice the flooring was inching ever higher with laid newspaper 🏠🐕=💩 🤷♂️💬+📰 =🤢🤮
Do they recycle in the UK? We recycle in the area of the US where I live and I'm getting anxiety from seeing how the cleaners are mixing the bottles and cans in the same garbage bag with regular garbage. They are doing a wonderful job, but I wish they would recycle and keep bottles and cans separate.
There are strict rules about waste disposal in the UK. They are doing commercial waste and biohazards. It might be sorted at the facility

Joyce needs those stackable cubes with the front side open to sort all her craft stuff.
When a person has agarophobia - why does she own a dog who has to go outside at least twice a day?

I’m crying. This poor home. Her neighbours place probably smells too……
“Cleaned twice today, still smell shaaaaaat.”

Hoarding is stuff. Hoarding is not laziness and not even cleaning your dishes. There is a difference.

Yeah, that house should be completely renovated. And whoever "lived" there obviously should be permanently taken care of medically.
Especially in the bathroom u have all the time to clean staying home too many people using anxiety as an excuse to
It’s not about being home and being lazy. These people suffer from extreme mental health conditions that seriously affect their ability to function on a day to day basis. Just because you have been able to keep your place clean with “depression” doesn’t mean everyone can

I hate to say this, but the lady needs to give up the dog-at *least* until she gets used to cleaning again and improves mentally. She’s not fit to be a pet owner in her current state. The animal is just going to crap all over the house again, like it always did, and she’s going to be too overwhelmed to clean it up. When this keeps happening and the novelty of the newly-cleaned house wears off, she’s going to be back to square one in a matter of months and feeling more hopeless than before.
Unfortunately, the dog was probably the one thing keeping her halfway sane in spite of it making much of the mess. It’s a pretty sad situation for both of them.
