Many thanks for the great explanation. I have one further question. In my case, the drum assembly is full of toner, which is causing the print output to be spotty. I think this is because the waste toner assembly is full. Is this possible? I'll try to open it and check further.
I purchased a refurbished Brother Laser printer (HL-L6200DW) and every page has faint horizontal lines spaced 4.6 cm apart. The page count was 19 before i printed a page. Based on what research I've done it seems the drum is bad? Is it recommended to buy the OEM part ($120) or any aftermarket replacement (DR820) for about $20?
I've looked around here and have no idea where these instruction to reset the counter are ? Can you paste a link here ? Also do you mean to keep the roller out of the light when it removed ?
@@viandant5 After cleaning, is it necessary to insert a new cartridge? I cleaned the two drum unit Brother, anyway, when printing, smeared black dots appear: (
no, it's not necessary. only if the cartridge is old, defective or near the end of the life it's better to change it. the black dots probably are not related to the drum unit
I have never been able to remove an E ring successfully without screwing it up. It's unfortunate that in this clip, you were successful in doing it, but it's off camera; I was hoping to learn the move so I could do that without breaking the thing! (bending it beyond repair!)
I use a smooth finished flathead screwdriver that is roughly 3 mm wide and 0.5 mm thick. Apply pressure as close as you can to the central tooth and you should have better luck.
A real lifesaver, not all heroes wear capes.
needed this as an emergency. thank you
Many thanks! you helped me again.
It turns out interestingly, in the 2000 series models there is no mining bunker, but there is one
This screwdriver looks cool. Can't find any other channel better than this one.

There is no waste toner assembly in this drum unit. may be the problem is the toner cartridge

Better an aftermarket drum. It's an easy cartridge to built or remaunfacture. I think it's not the drum, it could be the toner cartridge
@@viandant5 thanks for the feedback!

yes, you have to keep the drum in a dark place
Need to disassemble and clean waste toner assembly if out of it pouring toner?
Thank you for the video.
There is not waste toner assembly in this printer. the waste toner is inside the toner cartridge
@@viandant5 Может я не точно спросил.
Разобрал деталь, которая показа на 2:46 минуте видео. Есть смысл разбирать и чистить или нет?
@@ivanterenchin5701 yes, it could contaminate the drum with old toner causing backgrounding

Hello Sir is it possible to replace only the OPC drum?, If so is there any specific model or series number for the OPC drum
Yes, it's possible but there is not a series number. It's not a Brother spare part
Thanks bro!!!!
