Beautiful and inspiring. I visited your beautiful country on a wild life tour in 2007, and hope some day to be back to see more of Zimbabwe, share in your culture and spend more time with your friendly people. Blessings and love Zimbabwe . . . From the beautiful, tranquil Islands of The Bahamas 🌴🏖️🌅🇧🇸
Malimba to be Australian is an insult to Africans. Southern African tribes have been playing marimba for a long time and it's their heritage. In Zambia marimba is a traditional instrument for mbunda and nkoya tribes.
From a South African way too go Zimbabwe put yourself on the map by the way when I go tigerfishing in Zim this is the best music for relaxing on the houseboat
Marimbas is also a musical instrument for boat regatta in the Grand Island of Bonny, Rivers State, Nigeria. It's used for chieftain and royal musical display on water, in the ancient Ibani dialect of the Okoloama Island, that is Grand Bonny Island, it is called "Ngelenge". It's played a alongside a drum made of antelope skin called "Opuakwa" and a wooden one called "Ekere". It's a symbol of the ancient music for kings and chiefs of the Ancient Ibani Kingdom of Bonny. #GodBlessNigeria #GodBlessAfrica
Did you read the subtitles? It originate from West and central africa. Zimbabwe is a southern African country, therefore Zimbabweans didn't invent this instrument.
@@kofisam9650 it is a Zimbabwean traditional instrument, he is not wrong. If anything, the subtitles would be wrong as there is plenty of documentation of marimbas in Zimbabwe. Marimba is actually even a Shona (the largest tribe of Zimbabwe) word, so saying it came from anywhere else would be preposterous. It is in our history lol.
