We would of joined that war no matter what so he had no need to lie
He's right about all this though.
BritainForTheBritish Yes, Iraq was from Sykes- Picot Agreement in 1916 British sphere of influence. He just wanted to keep it. America going there alone would have taken another 'British' teritory for itselfi. I think, Blair was thinking that it was his historical duty to prevent this from happening.
The word "SHAMELESS" should be replaced by Tony Blair
War criminals must pay for there crimes
Blair would settle the EU problem by invading Iran.
I must say i like Tony Blair despite all the hate, he’s a clever person n politician! DC did well copying him....the new PM shud secretly consult.

Baffled Citizen people didn’t vote for no deal.
@Ian Brown He was following poor American intelltigence. As were the yanks. America was the architect of the issues in those countries, not Tony Blair.
@@TBrl8 ..Where was a deal mentioned on the ballet paper? IT WASN'T , therefore leave voters actually voted for leaving, full stop.
Iraq is not the issue here. Perfectly sensible position on Brexit
@Ian Brown Why do so many brexiteers have faulty keyboards?
Tony Blair made a huge HUGE huge mistake with Iraq and should pay for the 1 million deaths, but right now he's actually the first politician with a justified direction for Brexit. He's the first politician who has offered 2 clear directions to end the stalemate, involving both a peoples vote and no deal, stating that a soft Brexit (which is what May has been trying to pass for the last 2 years), in fact, solves neither problem.
I always get very worried when I find myself agreeing with Tony Blair but even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day.
He was right about a lot of things. He was just wrong about Iraq!
Ben Johnson technically it was his intelligence reports
Yeah I agree he only won 3 (Three) elections!
He said he voted Labour so by my reckoning he didn't vote Labour... The man is a compulsive liar.
He definitely voted Lib Dem... Alistair Campbell said he was one of many significant Labour figures who voted Lib Dem but they won't admit it.

The only mistakes Corbyn and May made was ignore the referendum result and their OWN manifestos. If both parties stuck to their manifestos we would have left the EU in March.

Really wish people would actually listen to Blair instead of just yelling “Iraq! New Labour!” every time he has an opinion.
Yes, Iraq was a bloody mess (literally) but that doesn’t invalidate his opinions on Brexit.
His opinions are valid and on this particular case I totally agree with him that Corbyn made a huge mistake by flip flopping and trying to please both sides then ultimately sitting on the fence and actually pleasing nobody.

He is way more grounded in reality, but I disagree that the EU will take Britain back, or allow anything but a no deal Brexit.

The investment in education and healthcare was with money we didn't have. his Chancellor Brown borrowed 150 Billion over four years fron the IMF to fund it! Devolution - oh please!? Smart guy. Clear in the reasoning. If people concentrated on the arguments more than on who is making it, I'm sure they would agree.
I don't get that he's so hated in the comments, yet he can attract over 200,000 in a few days to watch and listen to him in this video!
It's because the comments aren't representative of actual general public opinion on Blair. The rabid tabloid-trained Blair haters just pour on and create a toxic echo chamber in the comments, and the relatively sane rest of the people watching just don't bother to comment, and leave them to it.
Don't listen to Blair. Staying in the EU is straight out of the marxist playbook. No borders, do away with countries. That's basic marxism. The EU is run on an old german foreign policy model called Limited Sovereignty. It's not about independent nations.

Swedish social-liberal here (left-wing of L), and I'm in wonder over why the hatred of Blair is so widespread. Every time he is interviewed he comes across as clear, insightful and honest, and as a man who honestly just wants what is best for his country. This in stark contrast to charachters such as May, Corbyn, Farage, Rees-Mogg and Johnson. I absolutely agree that he f'd up Irak but he had good company in that disaster and it shouldn't disqualify him on non-war issues.
The comments on this video are shocking, thankfully they are the vocal minority.
Yes, very pertinent points; he is usually forensic and decent in his analyses. It’s always troubled me the level of vitriol that’s aimed at him especially online. I can only assume that the right wing tabloids must have targeted him (I suppose for being a relatively left wing PM with some aspirations to regulate unfettered capitalism and redistribute a little unearned wealth) for hate with laser like intensity and then people get into their heads he’s all that’s wrong with the world.
It’s childish and simplistic, and they all egg each other on until they think everyone hates him. I’ve seen extremely violent language used towards Blair many many times on YT and it’s truly troubling.
He might not go to prison, but he will go to Hell.

This Neoliberal joke of a former PM should either be ignored or put in jail. He was Bush's cabin boy. Labour better start doing the electorate a proposition for a second referendum and turn off all social media during the run up to the vote.
If remain win, do we have a 3rd vote? when does that stop? When we're all much poorer for it, more divided than ever before. Or do we just grow up and leave as the majority did.
