I wonder if Bobby was near where Ronnie Lane had setup shop after he moved from London and left the Faces. Shropshire was the location in Wales and Eric Clapton and Pete Townsend used to go there to stay and visit Ronnie.

Quick question what hertz was originally recorded in thorn tree in a garden? The recording sounds 440hz but I thought everyone recorded in 432hz back then. I would love to know the true answer, does it even matter what hertz to play in. Should i stay in 432 or 440. I know Duane’s martha was recorded in 450 it sounds like, is that just how the mix ended up? Is that what happened with thorn tree in a garden, cause it sounds like 440 but is that what it was recorded originally in when you recorded through the mics? Thanks a bunch, happy new years yall! Thorn Tree was recorded in normal tape speed. Tape used to be sped up slightly to sweeten and tighten the sound. Tom Dowd was left to deal with all those things so there's no telling what he may have done as far a tape adjustments. Especially during Duane's out of tune playing. They tried to get him to redo the take but he couldn't get the feel. So they were left with what you hear today. Everyone knew it was out. Only Tom would know all that. The band played and weren't interested in tape speed...
