  • How can you increase bass response from your amp and subwoofer. Tips on boosting bass for subwoofer. The simplest is to use an inductance from 1000w to 2000w or 3000w depending on speaker power with amplifier.
    Use an iron screw as the core to wrap the inductors, since I was the first to detect it to increase the uH value. You will change the frequency so that the bass sounds better. Applies to both subwoofer

    By putting a coil in series with the + lead, will only cut off the higher frequencies. You can put a capacitor parallel (over the + and -) to the speaker, to obtain the same effect. The use of (silly) thick wire for your coil is merely to dissipate the high power input.

    • @AlfredH
      @AlfredH  6 лет назад +2

      High frequency cut-off applies to bass speakers that do not apply to full-range speakers
      Frequency response for heavy bass is from 22 to 800Hz. The lower the bass range, the better the bass.
      The fact that you add a capacitor connected in parallel with the speaker is sometimes a burden on the amplifier and the sound is shaken
      Therefore, if you choose the wrong capacitor value will get the opposite effect.
      but inductors are indispensable

      You seem to know alot budddy 😅 I have a small 4inch Bluetooth speaker and I have a 10inch speaker.....I want to take both of those subwoofers and connect them to a Bluetooth receiver powered by one 18650 battery
      Will adding another 18650 provide enough power to both subwoofers?
      Can I boost my bass using this method?

    • @eknaap8800
      @eknaap8800 2 года назад +1

      @@imraankamish8220 Those are questions which take no easy answers.
      Your BT receiver circuit is powered by 3.7 V (it seems). Placing another 3.7 V battery parallel almost doubles the time one can play; it does not double the output power. You can not place the batteries in series (making it 7.4 V); the receiver circuit will probably die.
      Two 18650 batteries parallel will make the receiver circuit (and probably the bass) work a lot easier, with better sound.

    IF YOUR INTENSIONS WERE TO INCREASE THE VIEWS OF YOUR CHANNEL, THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY.
    But people who really understand what a real SUBWOOFER is, know that to use it, you have to use amplifiers that already have filtered active crossover outputs in the amplifier itself (possibly with low frequency boosters and subsonic filters).
    What you did in this video is nothing more than a first order passive low pass filter (with a cadence of 6db per octave) that does not eliminate any unnecessary frequencies, but only attenuates them.
    It follows that the concept is totally wrong, because if the intention is really to increase the bass produced by the subwoofer, you simply need to change a subwoofer or amplifier.

    • @AlfredH
      @AlfredH  6 лет назад +10

      Frequency range of bass from 22hz to 800Hz. The lower the frequency band, the stronger the bass
      The frequency range of the midrange speaker is 5000Hz
      Frequency range of high frequency speaker is 13000uH to 20000Hz or even 40,000 Hz
      There are many different types of speakers
      Each type of loudspeaker will operate at different frequencies except for full-band integrated speakers
      In the amplifiers, the manufacturers did not make filter circuits for the speakers. The simplest reason is that the amplifier should be suitable for use with a wide variety of speakers at different frequencies. If the amplifier uses frequency filter, Amplifier will not be used for many other types of speakers.
      So in the amplifier they only make a preliminary filter circuit or not even do
      Therefore, using a high frequency cut-off coil is appropriate
      Here want good bass you have to adjust the coil

    How did you manage to screw it up so badly, that your low pass filter appears to increase the higher frequencies?

    • @AlfredH
      @AlfredH  6 лет назад +1

      The reason is that you can not close the windings close to the magnet of the speakers. It will affect the magnetic field
      The main reason is the iron screw. Without it, the Henry number would not be as desirable

    • @lucky7s94
      @lucky7s94 6 лет назад +1

      A LPF crossover is either made using a capacitor and a resistor (combo1), or it is made using a capacitor and an inductance coil (combo2). Whether you need combo 1 or combo 2 and what the values of those parts need to be will depend on the type of driver, it's frequency response range, ohm load, and possibly a few other variables i may not be thinking of.
      There's some formula to use speaker parameters to make the ideal crossover but there's a way to get the right sound out of a given speaker

    • @AlfredH
      @AlfredH  6 лет назад +1

      you are right. Inductors will cut the high frequencies, which will reduce the treble and mid to make the bass speakers work better. The bass will be clearer
      It does not make the sound louder. But the amplifiers are now too strong, so the diminishing of a bit of db to better sound is not too much influence.
      I will add a capacitor to filter the lower frequency.

  • @adrianpugliese9815
    @adrianpugliese9815 3 года назад

    Is not correct. 1.8mm are equivalent to 2.54mm2 of section, for 3000w in 8 ohms you need to pass 19.36 Ampers through the wire, if we divide it by the section, it results in 7.62Ampers x mm2, more than double the recommended 3Ampers to avoid heating and distortion. On the other hand, the bolt is made of steel and has high carbon levels that do not favor magnetic permeability with great losses, an electrical silicon steel must be used.

  • @decnet100
    @decnet100 6 лет назад +3

    Haha... yeah, that will work. However, it's pretty much the worst way to achieve your goal of delivering more bass. You're using an inductance to basically throw away (as heat - which is why you need different wire guages for different power levels - these things would otherwise melt!) some of your mid-bass signal that your amp was working hard to create, using a 1st order low-pass. Of course, you are now left with more of the low bass, and if you can turn up your amps to compensate for the lost mid-bass, it'll feel "bassier". However, it's SO much easier to do the same (should you desire this) before the amp... Simple bit of equalizing, a tiny bit of a capacitance across an opamp's input, and you're there. Components that cost like 50 cents at most. And the result is, you're not throwing away any of your amp's output. I don't get why you'd do it this way, unless you were hard-pressed for bass and didn't have access to even the most basic electronics supplies.

    So you're making a first order low pass filter. If you lay your speaker face down on a table it sounds better with that low pass.
    The crucial part to good sound, perfect crossover network design, takes some effort in measurement and simulation. A first order low pass for example only works in 1% of all cases. The responses of the drivers have to overlap for several octaves for it to work.
    I recently made a tutorial for 2-way crossover network design. Please have a look, there's more to come: ruclips.net/video/5Kvl0iBQ0L0/видео.html

    You built a crude PASSIVE single pole low-pass filter. This is not new technology and is done poorly here. It does not increase loudness. The core is not good because of eddy current losses and possible saturation/hysteresis distortion at higher currents. Fun if this is your first time experimenting though (in case anyone wants to ride me about being negative lol)

    • @AlfredH
      @AlfredH  6 лет назад

      This core I apply for low frequencies, not high frequencies that are afraid of saturation.
      Manufacturers filter for low frequency they still use the iron core of the transformer. This core is even lower than the transformer core so it is not afraid of saturation

    • @Qui-9
      @Qui-9 6 лет назад

      Yes the core passes the most current at low frequencies, which will create the most magnetism and risk of saturation. Maybe it won't happen if your power is not too high. But a transformer is designed within it's limits and does not affect your results. If you want a core, best use a laminated or ferrite core. You'll lose some power inside this core. Professional literature about passive crossover circuits will tell you similarly. Goodluck :)

      You need a copper wire with insulating paint. and an iron screw exactly the size of the video

    Crossover not bass boosted, and definitely not 3000k watts.

    • @AlfredH
      @AlfredH  3 года назад

      Eliminating high frequencies means increased bass.
      3000w depends on copper wire size

    I don't think that improves the sound.
    It sounds tinny and scratchy. But hey that could just be from recording sound from the backwave of the driver.

      why? Why do they have to produce Audio Frequency Divider? Frequency regulators can regulate and shrink, which will balance the speaker output with the amplifier. along with other speakers. If you connect directly to the amplifier. The loudspeaker may be shaken if the amplifier is weak, and the loudspeaker may be choked if the amplifier is too strong. Even broken speakers, if the speakers are not enough capacity to resist.
      When you add a frequency divider, the sound will be more rounded
      The coil has a high frequency stop function
      The frequency range of the audio is from 22hz to 20Kh
      The lower the frequency, the stronger the bass.
      Would you choose the frequency for the bass speakers or would it be better?

      A basic low pass filter, which attenuates high frequency signal and pass low frequency portion of the music.
