Imma try out mbr and see how this goes, i was using gpt and I've spent about 3 days trying a bunch of things that just wasn't allowing my 500gb ssd to show up under uefi because that was my original plan, i managed to install windows 10 on my 500gb hdd in uefi mode (Idk how it went alot more smoothly than this) but now i just want windows on my ssd so i don't have to depend on a older drive and so when i start downloading things again to recover all the apps i had that it doesn't slow my computer down like it likes to do on a hdd, it should boot faster, and not need defragmenting like my hdd did, i got my computer from blair technology group on ebay, i would NOT go to them for any rebuilt computers! When i got my computer, it had an 11 year old hitatchi hard disk in it 😒 and ive only had the computer for 3 months and the hard drive just died last week

I’m using a 120GB flash Drive and I’m currently trying to “Open” a clients password locked computer but I’m not able to see the computer “Read and Write” Style itself since I’m not able to go into the settings just yet. I only get one try at it and if you were to guess what should I choose?
If anyone face Access Denied, do this: Mine worked: Put Rufus + ISO file in your desktop. Turn off all security option from Windows Security. Done. This one worked for me

The thing is that he is not talking about other pros on the GPT : it's the security ! If you corrupt your MBR table, you are fucked, while the GPT you can always recover it. GPT is a new partition table while the MBR has at least 30 years old !

Yep did it and bios says ,,no disk please insert disc,, and yes that's my life for a week I can't install any other OS. And yes i must use only legacy bios boot otherwise I can't boot usb so yeah great 👍.

so i decided to use Rufus to configure my flashdrive into a bootable one.. made it GPT and NTFS while my current windows is on GPT partition but whenever i try to boot the bootable flashdrive in order to begin the installation of the new OS, it says something like, missing a driver or there was that time it said that, i should convert the bootable flashdrive to MBR.. what seems to be the problem?

I got Rufus to work on a small screen with the screen orientation I kept the orientation to revert after 10 seconds and Rufus is making my usb into a bootable device
If you had important files on it then you should install a new Windows onto a different hard drive, not to damage any data on the existing one. Then use a data recovery program to get some files back. OK, but new laptops cannot boot from Flash with MBR created in Rufus. So the only option was to make GPT ISO installation for Win11.
Thanks! The pc I had wouldn’t let me boot into Legacy mode, I think I put GPT instead of MBR. So that’s why it most likely didn’t work!

BIOS is not available even under MBR only UEFI (non CSM) , also add fixes for old bioses not selectable

I don't understand why you say better use MBR. It's old, noone uses it anymore, all hardware and software is compatible with GPT nowadays.
For compatibility with older devices. I like to boot from ISO files from time to time. MBR allows it.
There is no info in disk volume tap..
Mbr is old ,gpt is latest GPT IS MORE FUTURE S

Better use MBR, GPT is needed only for larger than 3 TB drives, plus certain programs (EasyBCD) will have limitations when GPT is used.

Either try to make BIOS use Legacy mode, or at 0:56 select GPT and make the stick bootable again in GPT mode.
