    A lovely collection! The way you've potted them up is as interesting as the cacti themselves.

    Love the Euphorbia meloformis variegata!! The little Euphorbias that are about to bloom look like rooted cuttings of squarosa or one of the dwarf paired spine Euphorbia. They will need a two step cutting to make them grow a caudex. Love your spiralis!!! Very nice!!! The leafy one from China looks like a monadenium guenthei. Definitely a monadenium!! A lot of great plants!!! Steve!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks,out to Florida, have a great evening!!! Peace , Love,Plants!!!✌💖🌵🌸🌴🌲🌺🌳🌻🌿🌷🍀🌹😀👍

      Some grow slow some grow fast even in the same environment,not sure why lol.I keep up taking care of the cacti,but pretty much let them grow naturally and they seem to prosper better then others in my area.Give them time and be patient and you will be happy with results,keep in mind it is Trial and error to learn what works best.

    How long do you let your cactus grow in a pot before you repot them? 2 yrs? 3 yrs?

    • @cactussteve7
      @cactussteve7  2 года назад

      Some cactus 2-3 yrs yes because they out grow the pot size and are always falling over with wind.As long as they aren’t falling over and the pot can support the cactus I leave the pot.Remember cactus don’t always like a lot of room in pots.

    • @michellechapman6839
      @michellechapman6839 2 года назад

      @@cactussteve7 so... Normally when we purchase a cactus from a store..it's already been in that pot for about a year or two?? I have a balloon cactus.. I repotted in a 4in pot but I'm thinking that I should have put it in a 6 in. I'll just wait til next spring .. it's winter months now. But I want to combine it with some other types of cactus to make one big pot display.

    • @cactussteve7
      @cactussteve7  2 года назад

      @@michellechapman6839 yes I think store bought they are around 2yrs.Let it grow in the 4 inch pot and see how it grows and you’ll have a better idea of how big of a pot you’ll need when you combine them.

    • @michellechapman6839
      @michellechapman6839 Год назад +1

      @@cactussteve7 ok..I have a lot of Echinopsis pups. I'm going to wait til spring season to repot them into bigger pot... I'm going to attempt to make them a big clump! I'll be in touch with you 🥰
