I live in the deep hot south US and people here have malamutes for pets that have to spend the summer in an air conditioned house. Those dogs normal diet is a frozen salmon. Frozen meat is nothing to a dog that can chew a rawhide bone.
Too a point, all dogs need shelter in the winter, yes some breeds are better suited for the cold. That is how the band 3 dog night got its name. In blizzard conditions you would dig a deep hole in the snow and pull your sled dogs over you.

Snow has a lot pollutants in it from the air. Snow is mostly air to melt enough for drinking and cooking takes mass quantities of burn wood and snow. Less labor and fuel to start with flushed and settled water.

Realistically, there's no reason if you know you are going to be outside the cabin to have that thing at 80 degrees inside. Same with your outdoor one, it's just enough for what you need. You didn't need to pile on wood. Which, if you are making content and have plenty of wood is fine I guess. But this was more realistic
I lived on top a mountain in Colorado for 8 years. Had a neighbor about 7 miles. Actually my closest neighbor was a black bear. He lived about 2 miles. We took turns plowing the road through the winter. I hated having to leave but my x wouldn't. I would love to buy another place up there. But it all burned up in the wild fire

really cute doggie re the meat that was used, was it game meat or store bought? I notice that some of it was eaten uncooked so I imagine that it was smoked earlier but can't tell for sure what do you do for greeneries? do you forage and eat vegetation that exists in the wild? fishing?

Why would you get water out of the lake or river which was brown? You could have just gathered fresh clean snow.

There is a big difference between "Living" off grid, and simply spending a few nights. Most of us would call that "camping".
