    Great video! These seem to grow very fast!
    I just received a Callisia repens as a gift but when it arrived it was extremely dehydrated and needed pruning. I took that as an opportunity to propagate, but I didn’t use hormone powder. Will this hinder the growing process? Or should a majority of the propagations turn out okay? I do have liquid fertilizer but I haven’t added any to the plant yet. Thanks!

      Thank you emily, on this video, I used the hormon, but I have done propagation couple of times without hormon and, seems they grow very well too. once they root, it may establish fast. :)

    The soil is wet or dry? When you make the holes? And is it neccesary to use that white powder? In case I can't find it

    • @favourgreenau
      @favourgreenau  3 года назад +1

      Hi Elizabeth. when I do propagation this time, I made the soil moist before I make the holes.
      Using the white powder is not mandatory but as description on the powder, it says it will help the rooting
      (this is my first propagation trying with hormone, so cant say yet how effective)
      In case, you want to know how I did propagation without hormones (white powder) here is the link

    Are they happiest indoors or outdoors? Assuming you are in Australia...I’m in Melbourne and it is freezing outside. If they are in a hanging pot outside can they be placed where they would always get rained on? The pot has a good drainage hole so could drain freely.
    I just repotted mine after it was effectively dying. I just took all the tiny bits that looked ok and repotted them. I was shocked when I freed her out of the pot I bought her in. Was wondering why the soil stayed always wet even though I didn’t water her. What greeted me was a horrible slushy heavy soaking wet soil 😩😩😩
    She had no chance. Now I potted in coir potting mix with some vermiculite and a tiny bit of spaghnum moss added. Not sure she’ll survive. Would love to have her inside but want to do what’s best for her. How soon do you fertilise please?
    Thank you 😊

      Hi, Mueller
      So far, based on my experience, this plant can perform well both outside and inside.
      However, at outside, if its exposed on harsh direct sunlight or extremely cold weather, it will easily affect the plant. So I would say indoor would be better. :)
      I generally give fertilizer once a month but as nowadays is getting colder, I'm giving it once in 2-3month roughly. 🙂

      @@favourgreenau thank you so much 😊I might move the plant to be indoors. So far only a couple of cuttings have taken but I won’t give up trying...even if I have to buy a new plant, as I love them so much. One day I will succeed 😜👌

      Използвах почвената смес, която е смес от кора от орхидея, перлит, градинарски въглен и малко кокосов торф.

      In general, I would say no because I found whenever I tried to propagate plant during the cooler month, it seems failed easily. But, for me I'm just doing it because the place that I'm living is consistently warm and gets a lot of lights :)

    This post is a year old so you probably know by now that taking off the leaves at the bottom of the stem gives more energy to root growth

    • @favourgreenau
      @favourgreenau  Год назад

      Hello, Wendy. Thank you for your comment.
      unfortunately I'm still not 100% sure as I didn't compare yet but nowadays what I think is, it doesnt really need to take off the leaves at the bottom of the stem. the reason is because, even though I've done propagation experiment couple of times without removing the bottom leaves but they still propagated very well.
      in case you may curous, I'll put the link of my other video that I did experiment.
      ruclips.net/video/KpCIobAZkaE/видео.html
      and for my opinion, I do still guess removing bottom leaves could encourage root growth, but it can increase the chance of being affected
      Thank you
