I used to listen to this back in the day . Listening again, what strikes me now is how utterly purile most of the callers were! They had absolutely nothing to say and most of them were obviously teenagers just wanting to hear the sound of their own voice -a bit of a mismatch with host. Still i enjoyed it very much and feel like I've been spun round in a time machine. Thanks for rekindling fond memories. I'm grateful that in this day & age, 27 years later we can access these anthropological gems
Was that on the Sunday evening "Bob Hatton Rattle" show in the early 1990s on Radio 5 (before it became 5 Live)? Can't remember any 5 Live shows he was on - he was on TalkSport - I have a show or two of that to upload at some point
Those were the days, always tuned into his show. Loved it when he'd ripped into Frank Sidebottom (RIP) when he was in the studio. Also some punter called Hamish Brown doing the famous 66 World Cup commentary.
Gary Burt didn't appear until the Hallam FM days in early 1990s, as far as I know anyway. I certainly don't remember any "ridiculous"ness from the Piccadilly & Key 103 spells
