Love to see both of these guys play, and Fatality did remarkably well considering the matchup, the fact that Light is top 5 or 10, and that he just came back from a hiatus. Great set from both players.
It is so nice to see Fatality start playing Falcon like he used to. I was worried he was starting to regress, but it looks like he's gotten over whatever was troubling him and is back to his old self again.

Every time I see Fatality playing in competition after every match he genuinely looks like an npc that got just got a business call. He’s got nerves of steel.
I don’t get why so many ppl doubt fatality’s abilities with this character mainly about if he’s still the best Falcon. Yeah he took some time away from competitive and some Falcons came to the forefront during his absence. But as long as he’s been away, he came back like he never left and can still excel where others falcons can’t when fighting fellow top players. Not ONE of the best. THE best.
It feels like the very best falcons are all at a similar level rn and not a clear cut ahead of the others. Jogibu is better than Karaage overall but it's not a mega difference, same with Fatality being vaguely better than Sean (basing that off events they've both attended simultaneously). If you sent the four of them to the same series of tournaments, I wouldn't care to predict the highest placers. Ogey is a bit of a wildcard, not seen much from him recently. Edit: can't believe I forgot Andrik! I'm not sure where I'd rate him compared to the others but it'd be near the top.
Fatality is not bad. He consistently holds his own against top level players. He may not place among the gods like Leo and Spargo, but he is by no means bad. How many "bad" players do you know that can take a game off Light and bring him to last stock every game?
Guys fatality has really improved so much in terms of optimising, playstyle (effectiveness), variety, mixup and innovation gameplay. I'm talking about since the lockdown times when he relied too much on side b omg he has revolutionised himself in smash. Let's see where he goes now. Btw light is good but he was this good almost already or better, it's fatality that has somemaxingly betteremrnted

@@zanyskeleton5291Fox forces an approach and Falcon only has a few viable options to do so. Only a few moves (f-tilt, nair, bair, side-b) are even remotely safe on shield and only when well spaced, so Fox can play defensively. Fox also has more viable kill confirms because of how many of how nair, fair, and dair can lead to an upsmash. I’d say it’s like +1 or +2 for Fox. Honestly I’m very impressed with how well Fatality did here.
@@toastgod1276Definitely +1 in favor of Fox. Even though Fox has all that stuff that you mentioned he dies mad early and because of his fall speed, he falls right into all of falcon’s kill confirms. Falcon’s edgeguarding can also blow Fox up because the worst thing that can happen to you offstage as Falcon in that matchup is that you have to tech and Fox recovery is garbage. But because neutral is so important in this meta, and Fox’s Nair and Dash attack are so good, Fox still wins imo.
You just can’t make mistakes against Light, he capitalizes so well off of them (and you know…Fox is broken). Anyway, much love to Fatality! I know I’m not the only one glad to see him back in action
Fatality was incredible but I feel like he got too aggressive toward the end there, a lot of those up-smashes could've been punished if he blocked or stepped away and ran back to attack immediately after. I understand why he was so aggressive though, you have to almost all the time especially against someone like Light so he doesn't get too much of a momentum
