As a writer, Joey's last scenes with the boys let me amazed. Joey and Dawson's last conversation is clearly a goodbey scene,they're saying goodbey to their former life,to their story,as Dawson says "it's always gonna be you and me" it's a statement,like a last definition of their relationship,they are always gonna remember each other,it doesn"t matter when life take them,and the way they look at the kids...just the perfect scene to end their plot. They're looking to the past and to all they'll always have.Joey and Pacey's last conversation is clearly the start of their new life together,as an adult couple,living together,then to marriage to parenthood. The way Pacey let her off the hook and how she reacts,everything they say to each other in fact is about where they're going,not where they have been,like it was with Dawson.Their conversation shows how they've grown and how they are in a different place right now,even the place itself is different,it's Pacey's restaurant,it's a symbol of his adult life,their adult life,a symbol to how they are mature now and how now they can have a mature relationship.They're looking to the future.Even the way she never says anything to him is perfect because it shows how their relationship is moving on,beyond the end of the show,it's everlasting and forever. The writers of this show were incredible!
I love that most of that is Pacey's related. This just shows what everyone already knew...That he was the most heartwarming,caring and sweet character in this show.❤
This was the best part of this episode in 6x15 seeing them spending time together again and how their old feelings for each other never did go away!!!!!! I thought at the time it was the most badass thing a guy could do in a relationship... many girls loved Pacey for him being him but some guys liked him as a fictional role model, if I can put it in this way... it was pre-Internet and the 90s was a very cynical era for teenagers, Pacey was a snarky character but with good insights.
Even if they weren’t together or if they were apart her heart never left him she could never stop thinking about him and the same was for Pacey too and that’s one of the reasons why they got back together in the end because Joey ALWAYS HAD PACEY IN HER HEART even if she was with somebody else!!!!!!!!!
