Most people in the gaming media says something like "it may be weird, but I'm really looking forward to it" when talking about Astro Bot, as if it's embarassing to admit that they enjoy a fun, simple, well made and, yes, "kiddy" game. Astro is amazing and no one should be afraid to say so.

I already know why that it's my favorite game. It's because they added Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank and the rest of the legend all-star playstation heroes we grew up with as astro bots. Now THAT is a blessing 😊❤
I am a huge fan of the Ratchet & Clank series and have played most all of the mainline games multiple times. Going Commando, Deadlocked and Crack in Time are definitely my favorites. The movie game was good but it didn't get the characters right (probably because it had to match the movie). Rift Apart was over hyped, it was very good but nowhere close to the best in the series. I hope the series continues and we get an even better game next.
It's because it actually pushes the platformer forward a fair bit and offers variety we lost and Indies aren't offering it because they aren't there yet of talent/ideas to try. It's not a generic cinematic game with whatever story/skill trees/boring missions/goals/other modern stuff that boring. It's pure fun.

Astros playroom is free and is does has 4 VERY LONG LEVELS, which feels like Astro Bot will be very worth it and plus the game has very good rumble affects and I like how sounds comes out of the DualShock controller.

Rescue Mission was possibly the best platform experience I've had. The VR platformer was incredible and not having it on PSVR2 is gut wrenching. Yes I'm all in on the new game but give us more VR!
Astro's Playroom is the only game I've ever played on PlayStation 5 and I adore it. It reminds me of Chibi Robo or Sackboy is just full of charm. I have such good memories playing it with my friend and he even beat it 100%

I replayed astros playroom about a week ago and I loved it! I especially loved the network speedruns so I really hope they make new ones for Astro bot. I sadly won’t be getting it on release date but I will get it on my birthday about 2 months after it releases. Hopefully I don’t backlog it for too long lol.
