- this video is what i believe to be the better clipper of the two! i cut hair today with both clippers at the same time and for me the seniors came out on top. this is MY preference and so someone else may like the magic clips more or prefer another brand of clippers . please leave comment like and subscribe to keep up with the channel! I've had the senior cordless for almost 2 years now for home haircuts and I absolutely loved it, the power, build quality and capabilities of the Clippers is by far the best one I've tried and I've tried a few.
These clippers are no joke they are amazing got mine a few days ago and love them

I've been using the senior for 2 weeks now and it gets really hot compare to the magic clip because of the metal body I reckon and the battery life for my experience don't last as long as the magic clip. That's my thoughts.
But saying that, the senior is a beautiful clipper to have and feels real holding it.
All we need now is for Oster to make a Cordless Fast Feed!

Lithium ion batteries are great but you need to look after them. It's best to not charge them from flat and also don't leave them on charge after they have fully charged. It's all about keeping these at a good voltage on these batteries. Look after them and they will serve you well.
The magiclip cordless stops charging automatically when full charged, very impressive bit of kit. Not quite as powerful as corded. Takes some getting use to, (moving around with them with a cord attached for nearly 40 years ) old habits die hard...🤣
What do you mean , “don’t charge them from flat”?
@@infiniteg7852 just don't run then down fully flat. If the voltage goes too low it will degrade the battery. Although if worst case happens it's not a lot of work to replace the battery.

I have the cordless Seniors. I always loved seniors. I do put a taper blade on. That works better for me. I got the magic clips because so many other hairstylists raved about them, and anything to step my game up. They do not fade better to me and how you have to do so many passes is annoying. But I am past the return date. I feel like I wasted $200. Maybe I can sell them.
I’m not a barber and I’ve cut hair maybe ONCE in my life. I want to cut my hair and my boys hair. Both straight thin to medium thickness. No fancy fading, somewhat short and tapered/blended. I’ve been entertaining the cordless Magic clips. I prefer to buy quality stuff over the $30 stuff from Walmart although I don’t necessarily need barber quality. I like the idea of cordless just for convenience only and it’s NOT a requirement. I also considered the Wahl Elite Pro only because they come with a set of the premium guards. Forget your a PRO for a minute. If YOU were only going to use a set of clippers to cut hair say 3 times a month, what would you choose? Value IS important but at this point I’ve already considered spending $80 or so. I don’t feel it’s probably necessary to spend more based on the options that I’ve seen. The lure of the Elite Pro is really the nice guards. Are the metal clip guards much better or am I just wanting something I don’t really need? I would prefer to buy a set of clippers and NOT have to purchase another for set for 20 yrs. Thank you Sir!
I would say the wahl legends 👊🏼some people dont like them but I think for the price , they have alot of power and have never let me down so far
Get yourself some wahl premium guards . That is all you will need. If you are in America then the CORDED seniors will do just fine aswell !
That’s the thing. I can get a set of Cordless Magic Clips (with premium guards) or a set of Corded Seniors without pro guards for about $85.
The pro guards are about $25.

How's your senior cordless working right now after 3 years of use? Did you change the battery? Or something goes wrong? I've seen some videos that say that the senior cordless got screwed after a year or more
I'm still using them! Original battery but i do have a second senior aswell that I use

Hello, I am French so forgive my English :) i live your youtube video 😊 very nice. I am looking for a professional mower and I have in mind the Magic Clip Cordless or the wireless senior as well. the goal will be to make only the beard, to cut it between 2.5 and 6mm maximum. my beard grows fast and in terms of hair (they are very thin and I lose them elsewhere) I prefer the beauty of the metal of the senior but the Magic clip is quite nice too. suddenly I am lost in my choice :(For information, I wax the cheekbones and the lower neck so I have a perfect result so I don't necessarily need a trimmer for that.
If it is just for your beard , you can use any of them , both are good magic clips will be cheaper
