- In the premiere episode of Lowrider Roll Models, we feature the inspirational story of Steve Alvarez-Mott--a longtime original member of the Groupe Car Club East L.A. Steve recalls the early days of the lowrider lifestyle and his first car, a 1966 Pontiac Tempest. Ultimately, the camaraderie and culture would have a transformative impact on Steve and help lead him to find his true calling in life. Steve is a genuine Roll Model in the Lowrider community.

Wow this is awesome! Dr. Alvarez delivered my son 5 years ago. He truly is a awesome Doctor. I remember always feeling so safe under his care. I had a high risk pregnancy and he always assured me my son was going to be ok🙏

is played like crazy and they did so much great music ...........Santana seen 3 times in concert getting to sit in front of him in Kansas City,Mo as kept up with every song by then with my fingers on my right leg mostly his guitar as he sat on his stole never looking up once and his drummers behind him. were sat could not see whole band. my 55 ford pickup outside in parking lot wired down a copper paint job paint mixed not by me wanted gold for silver and gold croming everything could ......... emergency brake handle ect............ no bed on it was doin' the body work on it.

Why are these people (Lowrider collector/Lowrider builder/Lowrider-in-General) expected to be a "Roll Model"? Why is this not asked of someone who, for example. is a Mustang collector. The impression that I get is that a lowrider is perceived as generally being a thug and therefore it is asked and shown that you can be a "normal" collector/builder/etc. of Lowriding cars whereas the other (Mustang collector, in this case) is automatically perceived as non-thug, non-violent, law abiding member of society.
This in of itself speaks volumes of how bigoted America is... Even hobbies of dark-skinned peoples are threatening to Whites.
Have you not heard all of the Mustang owner bashing that goes on? All avenues of car and bike culture, with maybe the exception of high end exotics and collectibles, have always been counter cultural. I get what you're saying, but this is not unique to lowriders.
Face it dude no one cool gives a shit about mustang collectors keep dreaming you get noticed.
In my opinion this is aimed at inspiring and encouraging young people more than attempting to softening the image people may have on the culture.

cool car had a 66 lemans got in 79 should of never traded that car. I ad it lowered not by rocks heated the springs a lil . not makin; mistake like did on 63 4dr belair which was to much getting it for 300 a real clean car. got a stinkin' chicken from friend bob. it was in my back seat just being cool and got pulled over in el monte they just laughed. did not get a ticket. the chicken after did not do so well my friend thinkin' it funny after him throw chicken in air no head as it danced around but it tasted great. got to after sold that 3 ride in it one day with lifts on it. my first ride in that car lifted behind the wheel. he said want to hit the switchs? said shur, but not to long got a leak. he had it dropped to take pressure off that leak. it was cool doing it. was happy it would one day be done right I felt.
