    IMPORTANT NOTE: RainKits™ purchased after August 16, 2015 have a DIFFERENT kind of downspout diverter. Please refer to your printed Installation Instructions.

    That diverter hose appears inadequate to handle a heavy downpour. I’d guess it would back up and cause the diverter junction to leak considerably. Otherwise the layout looks great with the barrels raised using bricks to allow for bottom end plumbing.

      Good observation! The inlet hose in this video is thin, but it routes overflow down the downspout, so leakage is not an issue. The reservoir also holds some backup so the hose capacity isn't as limiting as it may appear. That said, we switched to a different diverter type back in 2015, which does have a higher capacity inlet hose. You can see examples at BlueBarrelSystems.com.
