My youngest daughter was born at 27 weeks on the 25 December 2007. She spent 3 months in the NICU. The first 48 hours were critical... Her eyelids were still fused together. She had no finger nails. Her skin was extremely sensitive. I also could not hold her until she was a month old. The Docs had to puncture her lung (as she attempted to breathe when they intubated her). She spent those 3 months in the NICU on a ventilator and in an incubator. She was resuscitated 5 times during her 3 month stay in NICU. She had Ups and Downs. HaD seizures. She had a PDA Operation a month before she came out of hospital. That was 17 years ago this Christmas. God is so.. so.. good. He's a miracle working God and I wouldn't change a thing. 🙏🏻💗🙏🏻💗

What a testimony. When my adult daughter passed away, it wasn’t until I was finally able to cry/wail from my heart that I finally felt God wrap His arms around me. He wanted me to give it ALL to HIM! Love you both and your family.

Adam's explanation about why the people of Nepal see more miraculous healings than we do in America is exactly right. WE DON'T rely on God as we should. We are culturally taught to rely on our own abilities which causes us to ignore how COMPASSIONATE AND POWERFUL our God truly is! If we would only acknowledge Him in every aspect of our lives. He longs to hear us call out to Him for His beautiful grace and His loving mercy as we face our daily trials. Danielle's wailing as you described the night Riley had the emergency surgery is exactly what was needed at that time. God rhe Father heard that wail and recognized her desperation for Him. Jesus Himself wailed in the Garden the night before He faced torture and then death on the cross. You guys inspire me so very much! Thank you for this truth telling.

Now, I have a clearer "picture" why you two WONDERFUL & LOVELY parents are such deep believers in God and the miracles. As a non-believer, I can say that in the circumstances of the NICU days, feeling & seeing the "light" of God, made you to see the LIGHT at the end of the darkness and have 5 SWEET miracles (💗❤️💚💜💛) after the first miracle (💝) you had.🤗🤩😁
I LOVE ALL OF YOU 💞💕💝💗❤️💚💜💛

Hearing your brought back so many memories of the days spent in the NICU with our twins. So many similarities, from being asked to wait they were working your child right down to hosting a birthday party for our daughter the night before our twins were born. May God continue to bless you all. And I also have a Riley who's a spit fire. The dr said she'd never seen a 2 pound baby move so much in an uncubater. He just ran a 100 mile marathon. He's now 27.

Beautiful loving Danielle & Adam. God said, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭7‬ & 8
Many times this has happened, God has carried me through many health situations. I have had out of body experiences & know it’s when I was not able to physically handle the situation. All we need to do is truly Let Go & Let God. Blessings will come.
God bless you for the strength God has bestowed upon you both. Love & hugs to you all. And it’s really okay to cry, tears of joy, fear, & sheer exhaustion. 😘 💖🥰 Happy Belated Birthday Danielle🎂

I feel the same way. You have been blessed with 5 beautiful miracles. Listening to your story you can feel God's presence. Thank you for sharing your beautiful testimony. Faith in God comforts us and knowing he has a plan for each of us. I agree Danielle sometimes his plan is not ours but, if we put out Faith in him everything will be ok. God loves each of his children and will never leave us alone. If you haven't read the poem "Footprints in the sand" please do. I have seen many miracles happen. The outcome wasn't what we wanted but, God done what was best for our sweet grandson born 22wks & 5 days, he gave him a body and spirit. Our sweet angel 😇 watches over us each day. May your faith and testimony continue to be strong and give others hope. God bless you and your family. Happy belated birthday Danielle! ❤❤❤❤❤😊

Such an incredible love God provides. I know exactly what you are saying. I lost my adult son during the pandemic. I had God literally breath for me, help me to stand, walk me when all I could imagine doing was collapse. He brought me comfort and peace to keep me from going insane. I have told some other Christians and they don't seem to understand what I am saying. God held me and continues to guide me. We are so loved. The Lord is so great. Your testimony was beautiful and I thank you. Happy Birthday. 🙏 ❤😊

I've been through many things and have felt God the same way you did. I can feel how hard it was for you. A mom wants to be there, hold, nurse etc and I can feel that it was very hard for you and I'm so sorry.God was beside you as you talked about the girls. Crying helps so never be ashamed if it.. love you guys...

When you said you were having words come out of your mouth and didn’t even know what you were saying I wondered if had received the gift of tongues. The Lord definitely has his hand on your family and it’s great that you are unashamed about sharing your testimony. Keep on being a light to so many. I can see it affecting hearts even just in these comments.

My daughter was born at 33 weeks, and my faith and trust in the Lord was strengthened so much during that time, because there was nothing I could do to help the situation. I just had to trust God and trust that he would help me through every day. I can’t imagine 5 in the NICU at the same time.

Almost 14 years ago, we had our 29-week preemie with a 2.5 y/o at home. I would often get asked how I did it and to this day, I say “God carried me”. We were blessed to have my mom helping with sister while Dad and I would be back and forth to the NICU but it was God’s Grace that got us through that.

Thanks for sharing your story. My daughter was born prematurely at 33 weeks after no complications during pregnancy. Went to the closest hospital and delivered 1 hour later. She was then airlifted due to the hospital she was delivered at did not having a Nicu. Being separated from your child and not being able to hold her was the hardest thing next to having a toddler at home at the same time. Pumping was the one thing I felt like I could do as well. I remember being scared in the Nicu those first days while she was on a ventilator and praying for her to make it. I remember thinking of y’all and knowing that your quints were tinier at birth and somehow they all made it. I knew because of watching the show and hearing yalls story that my baby was capable of doing the same. She will be one next month. To God be all the glory!

I too, had a preemie (a "Riley Paige") at 30 weeks and staying in God's word and having faith through it all is what helped us through all the years. She has a testimony of her own now and is serving at one of the Dream Centers here in the US. God is so good!

Yes, as a NICU mom, the sounds you never forget. You learn what each sound is, and after a while, you can ignore certain sounds. I hated having to wait to hold my son. It was strange at first holding him with all the tubes and wires. I didn't get to hold my son for a month. 😢 then finally changed him. Waiting for his eyes to open. ❤❤ when I did kangaroo care his stats were so good they asked if I could stay all day holding him. I couldn't. I needed to pee and eat.
I couldn't pump. They used donors milk for a while. Then formula when they lost the contract with the donors milk. That helped him so much. Also they called him a wimpy white boys. Girls did better and other races of boys did better. After 4 month. He was mayor of the nicu. He even has his picture on the wall in the hall way to the NICU.
