I am in Zone7a and I have some experience growing Camellia. I live in NJ though on the border of 6B. I think you have made a great choice in picking up the hardiest Camellias, though you do not seem to have much winter wind protection. Your camellias will continue to get winter injuries until they are at least 3-5 years in the ground. So, please be patient. Also search for Ron Simpson's guide to growing Camellias in colder zone - it is informative and entertaining. Good luck!
Thank you so much!!
Great information and great job. Thanks
I saw a lot of huge camellias in London
They were in full bloom in March
Pretty shrub
They look great, but I’d be afraid to spend that much on something that’s borderline zone 6. My zone 6 encore azaleas are all dead, except one and that one has never bloomed. Maybe, you’ll have better luck.
