I heard this on pandora and almost blew my eardrums out turning it up so loud with earbuds in! For whom the ears toll! Let me see if I can fit the word "ears" in here one more time. srae
my guess is that las cruces showed them the best time of their lives when they came and played for warped tour so its kind of like a thank you because the fans showed them that they matter.
I'm from Las Cruces :D btw everyone who keeps thinking that this song is about them trying to shove religion down our throats you guys couldnt be anymore wrong. Las Cruces is a city in New Mexico. Las Cruces translates into the crosses but that doesnt mean that its religious. Anyways deuces means goodbye. So of course the final product is Goodbye Las Cruces. It's a song saying thank you to the fans who gave them the strength to carry on and continue making music.
i love this song! i m new to Memphis May Fire, sad i hadn't discovered them earlier, thanks SAW :). does anyone know if they're Christians or not? cuz they could very well be referring to God i this song. i know its definitely a metaphysical being, maybe a dead person who guides them , idk please inform me.
@FTRisINSANITY there is no one in the band has the name mike or chris... the old singer from the first ep was chase. and the new singer (sleepwalking and between the lies) is matt mullins. not sure if that's what you were thinking of.
The screaming parts in this song are heavier than the screaming parts from what I'm used to hearing from Memphis May Fire (Even though this is an older song). And I don't have a problem with that.
@Silo2130 ..... you... are sooooo lucky , best show and tell ever " heres my cousin, hes in a band, nothing special" every one else is staring in a mazement
yes i understand deux is two in french ........... and yes, cruces mean crosses. las cruces is the city of crosses. but in case you didnt know deuces means goodbye. in the title las cruces hes talking about the city in new mexico. you do realize the band has come here right?
First reaction to the song: .....wait.. it ended?! NO!!!! *replay* Second time listing to song: *turns volume up louder and replays again* Third time listing to this song: (mom) Turn it down or get headphones! (me) but mom!! *gets headphones* Fourth time listing to the song: WHY CANT IT GET LOUDER?!?!?!?! Why do i have to have no money to buy the song?! why is there no instant replay?! grrr.... :D
@farcry31191 I'm aware of that, but this is a pretty drastic change in style and coincidentally happened a couple of months before they signed to rise. I understand bands have to progress and change to continue being successful but just saying I'm going to miss the sleepwalking era because no one made that kind of music quite as good as them.
Friend said "That's shit, here listen to this" pauses my MMF, turns on chris browns shitty new single. I listen to to a minute and a half. Come back here and the first words up are "block out the noise" =D
There song Vices introduced me to them not to long ago, but that album sucked so I held off looking into there music further for a while, until now and every song not from Challenger (except Vices) is fucking awesome.
Bob Gnarley Lol, calm down there tough guy. All but 2 songs on Challenger sound identical, and I don't mind what there singing about but it doesn't stand out to me because that album is unbelievably generic. Sleepwalking, all the songs are unique, The Hollow has a similar sound to Challenger but sounds far better, and both were released with Rise Records. And unless you can link where you heard that they were forced to write music they didn't want don't make shit up. Matty has stated in interviews that he would love to play this stuff at concerts but most of there fans started listening around The Hollow & Challenger..
maybe if you guys actually did a lil bit of research and quit whining you all would know, that their new album will indeed include the "southern" style in it...go ahead and wiki if you want (quick and easy)..this is an EP it is clearly an experimental...nothing wrong with this either..i like this EP alot its amazing...southern twist will be on the new album..so dont go to the corner and start cutting guys..haha, im rlly Looking forward to the new album!!
@DefineDeath090 well whats the point of being in a christian band if your not openely expressing it? and i said they werent "considered" a christian band as in they're not labeled as one. im not saying they as people arent christians just that the band is not labeled as a christian band
Best intro yet
Hands down my favorite song from them. I love the last 40 seconds!
intro to this is so dope
New Mexico! 🤘🏽🔥

i cant believe the lead guitarist is my art teachers brother O.O... Kellen McGRegor... you rock!!!!!
my favorite song of them c: wish more people knew more than the songs from Challenger and The Hollow ...
I heard this on pandora and almost blew my eardrums out turning it up so loud with earbuds in! For whom the ears toll! Let me see if I can fit the word "ears" in here one more time. srae
ik I'm late, but "for whom the ears toll"
that's some funny and clever sht
my guess is that las cruces showed them the best time of their lives when they came and played for warped tour so its kind of like a thank you because the fans showed them that they matter.

@FTRisINSANITY there is no one in the band has the name mike or chris... the old singer from the first ep was chase. and the new singer (sleepwalking and between the lies) is matt mullins. not sure if that's what you were thinking of.

@Silo2130 ..... you... are sooooo lucky , best show and tell ever

well the leadsinger ddefinitely is a follower of christ, and his lyrics allow a spiritual interpretation, referring to an itnerview

@SedateAngel it doesn't work when you're on the persons channel you have to be on the page with all the comments for it to work
@iJeSuSxX In my opinion, 'North atlantic vs North Carolina' and I love 'Vaulted Ceilings' but that's just my opinion.
so i just fell in love...
yes i understand deux is two in french ........... and yes, cruces mean crosses. las cruces is the city of crosses. but in case you didnt know deuces means goodbye. in the title las cruces hes talking about the city in new mexico. you do realize the band has come here right?

@airbearsurber haha have you gotten MMF news abum!!
@ILiveForTheRofl double cross or 2 crosses
it bums me out that they came to Cruces for Warped and didn't play this song. it's okay tho they still put on the hardest show of the day.

@edmundtayhokim They gotta new drummer?
2:48 BEAST xD
This song is harder than damnation itself.
#swaggot inbounded
Why does everyone have to hate on Asking Alexandria? This is a great band, but I like AA too.
@DefineDeath090 well whats the point of being in a christian band if your not openely expressing it? and i said they werent "considered" a christian band as in they're not labeled as one. im not saying they as people arent christians just that the band is not labeled as a christian band
They were stuck in los cruces for like two weeks with no money. And deuces is a way to say goodbye. So yah.
