Ok so I think the warlock chest is underrated because of its usage on threadling builds. If you are running a threadling build and the aspect that gives threadlings on rift the main problem is uptime for that rift. You want to get it back as quick as possible but the only thing that does that in the class is a fragment that requires suspends. The only way to get suspends enough to make it worth it is to eat a shackle grenade with mindspun meaning you are not running weave walk and have to burn a grenade on not threadlings. If you run this you can run that fragement, use Weavewalk, a threadling grenade and the build something to build around which is melee charges. If you need a rift suspend a target and kill it. If you need to perch threadlings use Weavewalk. I am already using Monte Carlo for the threadling build so this seems like a really nice slot in for that build alone.
My guess for the warlock is that kills will activate the burst in one arcane needle and for the beefy targets like champs it will require the 3 consecutive like the video. Potentially having diff tiers of enemies create different size bursts. They have been doing that tiered stuff a lot recently.
For the Titan, I’m curious at specifically calling the Exodus Rockets - I’m wondering if this will be another hidden interaction exotic with a new exotic rocket launcher involving exodus rockets. So long as the warlock has a good passive effect I could see it, also, in the first clip it looks like the range might actually be insane on the explosion. I’ve come to the conclusion that Arc hunter is the most boring class aesthetically, and the exotics mirror that.
For the warlock one, I'm guessing that adding more melee to the same enemy, increases the radius of the suspend detonation. So you can probably suspend with 1 melee I'd guess. Otherwise, it's going to be absolute garbage. Even if it works the way I think it might, it still might not be all that amazing honestly
If you can suspend someone with a single melee it will cause problems in pvp. I'd wager it requires multiple charges, and give some sort of melee recharge. It probably also works with a final blow from the melee.
It's obviously going to be trash they're treating warlocks like they treat Gambit . They're going to Nerf well of radiance and the new super is a worse version of the D1 super.
I hope that Titan Exotic has hidden synergy with a weapon. It specifies "exodus rockets" so I'm hoping there's a new exotic rocket launcher that also fires exodus rockets.
@rithvikmuthyalapati9754 I want it to do subclass verbs that would be nice also if it is failsafe related it would be cool if she was in the armor and talks on occasion like how the worm talks randomly in that one grenade launcher

if it depends on the target i think it would be good. kill a red bar get the suspend but bigger targets require more needles. the other 2 seem fine to me
Y’know, Armamentarium was the very first D2 exotic armor I got, and it’s what my Titan is wearing today. With the way I play, unless I’m going into something very specific, nothing has proven to be more CONSISTENTLY useful than just giving me another grenade. 🤷♂️
I only use Armamentarium on void Titan these days, and only because void-play HEAVILY revolves around grenades (proccing volatile rounds, weakening, etc). With the new BRAVE weapons and the origin trait, I find simply having a deeper "well" of grenade energy to fill with all the ridiculous sources of grenade energy regen void Titan has access to (offensive bulwark, devour, and indomitability) to be the most useful.
Try Heart of Inmost Light with Onslaught Weapons, high discipline stat, good mods and subclass build-crafting. You’ll create a very powerful gameplay loop that buffs both ability potency and regen. You’ll go infinite on your abilities and never have to worry about orbs of light if you have a firepower or similar mod.
@@omensoffateBecause unlike khepris it actually hits stuff due to tracking. Besides, arc dodge triggers it. If they somehow turn out to not be absolute dogshit, they could have some play...in pvp. Not in pve, not at all.
@Le_Canker Unless the rockets actually use keywords. If the rockets would scorch or suppress or something it could still be usable in PVE, but I imagine it'll be straight trash because it's a Titan exotic and if it isn't it'll be nerfed to be trash before you know it.
for the Titan exotic I think there was 7 explosions on the dodge whereas there is 6 rockets on the shield, so maybe kills increase the number of missiles? I think the Warlock exotic triggers the suspend explosion upon triggering a suspend.
What they should've done is let you wear an exotic class item amd an exotic armour piece but the class item only has one ability. Would've have been a million times better
I definitely think the Titan exotic will be a good way to encourage me to use the barrier more. Especially when survivability in D2 revolves around using hard cover and moving about, my barrier often stays on cool-down not doing anything, so I really like the idea of this exotic because it allows me to salvage some value that would often otherwise go completely unused.
That's why Thruster shouldn't be arc specific since Thruster takes way less time to use. The barricade has forever been annoying on account of it always taking too long to put down when I really need it down, but the arc thruster is able to give you momentum and dodge quickly which saves me more than the barricade does.
a very niche case for the new titan one, the behemoth avalanche spam, where you loop your class ability with your avalanche nade and modified upper cut to just loop them all and AoE crash through mobs and elites
I'm wondering how that titan exotic will synergize with the aspect that sends out a suspension wave when you deploy your barricade. Does it suspend before the rockets come out? If so.. that'll be really nice
For the warlock exotic, it looks like it takes all three, which is redundant when the fragment for eating your grenade literally exists, not to mention the new bow that suspends as well. Kinda feels like they're just running out of ideas and this is going to be a GREAT exotic for the new prismatic subclass since it probably won't have access to grapple grenade BUT will have access to needle shot. Who knows. All I know is that it reminds me of Alchemist Raiment on the back.
Saw a meme about how the titan and hunter exotics are just the bombadiers but they probably dont have subclass synergy I completely forgot about khepris horn because its literally useless So now titans and hunters get an exotic that they already have, and warlocks get an exotic for a thing they already excel at
the way i see it, the Warlock chest is basically a free Aspect. it lets your melees proc Suspend like the Aspect does and can either free up that Aspect for a different two on Strandlock, or give Prismalock access to easy Suspend
These exotics look basic as a base exotic. Ideally they are in the Exotic Class items and just weren't listed last week due to spoilers for new gear. If this chestpiece is available as Spirit of Mataidoxia, and ANY charged melee hit suspends, this would be insane with the sliding Arc melee.
My issue with the Hunter and Titan exotics is that it isn't immediately clear what sort of synergies or interactions they have. Without knowing what sorts of keywords they play into, it's impossible to get a feel for how they'd be incorporated into a build or how stong said build might be. If the Hunter one either blinds or jolts when the projectiles hit, then I can see a potential future for it, but if it's just Arc explosives like the old Bombardiers was, then I'm probably never going to use it.
hoping it doesnt end up like the rest of the arc hunter exotics where i never end up using them because neutral exotics just feel better to build around
@CatWithThumb the only Arc specific Hunter exotic I ever use is Liar's Handshake. The rest just don't provide enough benefit for the restrictions they come with.
Im pretty psyched/intruiged by the exotics. I already gave some builds in mind that ive mapped out in DIM, but i do think these exotics are made with Prismatic in mind. Totally get Datto's point about "gotta see the damage," tho. Id love to see Bungie take the direction of exotics like the Titan's and the Hunter's (and even the 'Lock's) leaning into being tuned SPECIFICALLY for champs and minibosses. Where exotics provide an anti-champ effect as a built in feature (eg Athyrs') or as a happy by product (eg Bombardiers taking on subclass effects), tune those joints to do sizeable damage to champs given the risk-reward of being in close proximity.
I think people are sleeping on Mataidoxia (the Warlock chest). For solo lost sectors or any content where I'm fighting with teammates for kills, I will absolutely take a consistent champion stun that doesn’t require me to juggle enemy kills for Weaver's Trance. Especially because it uses your underwhelming (though still useful) melee charges. Slap on Monte Carlo and I'll spam those suspends even more.
I’m certain these exotics were designed to get players through the campaign in a fun way, not to enable new ways of crushing end-game content. I doubt we’ll have major use out of them until much later down the line
Taking all of these with a grain of salt until we know the full exltic perk descriptions. We've had some bangers come out that we thought were mid in previous teasers.
I know for a fact that other than pheonix protocol, I will not be wearing any mono exotics because exotic class items are freeing up my robe options (yay) and I can finally fashion my main character (I love my pheonix protocol ornament)
My view on these is that these exotics look underwhelming because they're not meant to be the core of a build or playstyle. rather, they're meant to be incorporated into other playstyles and bolster what you're already doing. The titan exotic caught my eye the most, it looks like its element neutral which could then ask the question if the missiles take on the element of your subclass. If so, can they interact with elemental debuffs or fragments. if they can, then we do some interesting stuff with it.
That’s what I said too tbh, it looks like it would be AMAZING to run with a radiant/ignition/incandescent build or with a void destabilizing proc. I can imagine jolt actually being fun too lmao.
It kinda feels like they're on the wrong classes. Warlock one would feel better on the Hunter I think. Titan one would be better on Warlock. i.e. Magic missiles on rift cast
Warlock chest has misunderstood potential. Idk all the details obviously but I’m assuming It SHOULD be busted in the Prismatic kit when paired with the new super Song of Flame, which will “overcharge abilities while buffing surrounded allies with scorch for their solar weapons. Overcharged melee has more projectiles and sentient grenade bounces between multiple enemies.” Come on guys, you know the devs like to make interactions for people to find. The super have a long duration and will be like Sunbracers volume of grenades plus high volume of suspend needles.
I really hope they have another armor piece for each class up their sleeves. These look lower than mid, unless they come with crazy status effects or something or put out a ton of damage. Sad when I think of the developers who make this stuff thinking "this is going to be awesome" only to have the community respond with a collective "meh".
4:24 better devils is 100% coming back because it’s shooting strand and in the twid where they showed off the new buff ui they show a strand hand cannon with one quiet moment (crucible origin trait)
You almost need exotics to proc subclass verbs to be relevant. If the rockets caused scorch, jolt/blind, weaken/volatile, sever, slow, that would be dope.
The hunter exotic if it works with combination blow will make your everyday content extremely fun and easy to spam ad clear, but there might be a cooldown to it.
A lot exotic armour is getting a buff in Lightfall. For example, Armamentarium will allow grenades to generate orbs of power, which in turn grants grenade energy.
I think the titan one should scale its damage based on what triggers it. Towering Barricade has a much longer cooldown, making it deal much higher damage with the rockets is a no brainer. Thruster and Rally Barricade having much shorter cooldowns would have weaker but more spammable rockets. I'm envisioning something like 60k total damage for Towering Barricade and something like 25k total damage for Thruster and Rally.
In my opinion I dont think Bungie should even give us any news about upcoming exotics. Exotics are meant to be rare and should have an air of mystery almost to them. It also sets expectations always to polarization because no one can actually build craft with them yet. Maybe I just miss the days of being surprised by this game, could be that as well
I’m hugely surprised prismatic will be across the whole game and not just in the story, I thought it would be more like when you get strand throughout lightfall
I assume each has secondary perks as well. They seem to want every exotic armor to have at least 2 affects, not only for the ability to use their spirit for exotic class items but also to improve viability. My default assumption is the armor pieces will also have ways to get energy back for the required abilities but who knows
Titan main here. I like the idea and the display of Hazardous Propulsion. It definitely gets points for style. However I would agree with Datto, it feels very mid. Until we see numbers and knock if it changes our base cooldown at all, I don’t see myself using this over Synthoceps, HoIL, Pyrogale, etc. The only thing I can see is it pairing with Drenger’s Lash and then cleaning up the suspended target. However in both clips of it in action, all the missiles lock to a single target. So I don’t think it’ll be good when you have multiple ads suspended unless the blast radius is huge. Also I’ve seen people speculate it could empower your rocket launcher. If so, again, I want numbers. Give me a reason to use this cool and fun exotic over Synthoceps in end game PvE. I want the missile to hit hard or empower my rocket by 100%. Something. If the missile do enough damage to a stunned champion to put them into finisher range, I think that’s a fair amount of damage. Ideally I think it should kill a stunned champion outright. It’s an exotic. Make it feel powerful. I want this to be good so badly.
honestly the weirdest thing to me about these trailers is the hunter shooting a single handcannon shot at 3 different targets, like is that part of the activation or did the bombs not do enough damage to kill an add so they had to weaken them first or what
Nobody seems to be pointing out that the titan exotic activated on a backwards dodge the first time round. Implying that it can either replace your class ability or there's a new class ability coming to titan.
If the rocket barricade goes something along the lines of "dealing damage with the rockets grants class ability energy" there could be some good use cases. Im thinking void titan with overshield and devour + either bombers for more grenades or utility kickstart
I think that prismatic is going to be quite weak due to the limited aspects and fragments. My guess as that it will be built around taking a power level hit in the neutral game in exchange for access to the powerful transcendence. I could be mega wrong on this though. Also I expect that the artefact mods will probably be the thing to make prismatic broken.
As if i wasn't already interested in getting The Final Shape. I'm not preordering after Lightfall, and realistically I'm just going to wait a week after the expansion is released to see reviews/community feedback. That will determine if I pick it up, not some low to mid teir exotics that have poor functionality and don't really seem interesting to me personally.

If that's all the Warlock one does it's gonna be mostly useless. The hunter one seems like it might be spamable but I doubt it won't have a cool down, or just won't do enough damage. Titan one looks cool but is dependent on how much damage it does, or if it has additional utility
This will go 1 of 3 ways: 1. The warlocks boring exotic turns out to be great but the hunter and titans is bad because no damage 2. The Hunter and Titans exotic pack a massive punch and the Warlocks one is DOA 3. They are all bad
I wish Better Devils was normal kinetic instead of Strand. Seems like they’re reprising SO MANY primaries as strand and stasis instead of keeping them as they were. Plain kinetic weapons are great. I’m getting fewer and fewer options for chromatic fire haha

Hopefully warlock chest maybe gives us melee energy back for killing suspended enemies, or some other effect, just adding suspend to melee is dumb
For the titan exotic. It would be good if it applied subclass effects on hit. ie. Slow on Stasis, weaken on void, scorch on solar etc.
It might also be melee energy on suspended kills
If you can suspend someone with a single melee it will cause problems in pvp.
I'd wager it requires multiple charges, and give some sort of melee recharge. It probably also works with a final blow from the melee.
It's obviously going to be trash they're treating warlocks like they treat Gambit . They're going to Nerf well of radiance and the new super is a worse version of the D1 super.
Or you could effortlessly suspend with your exotic bow and not waste your time with this POS armor chest piece.
I hope that Titan Exotic has hidden synergy with a weapon. It specifies "exodus rockets" so I'm hoping there's a new exotic rocket launcher that also fires exodus rockets.
Copium
I believe the Exodus rockets are a reference to the Exodus Black, aka Failsafe's ship. And I noticed the Failsafe design on the chest piece
@rithvikmuthyalapati9754 I want it to do subclass verbs that would be nice also if it is failsafe related it would be cool if she was in the armor and talks on occasion like how the worm talks randomly in that one grenade launcher
@@rithvikmuthyalapati9754 Ah dang if it's just a connection to Exodus Black and nothing else that's disappointing. I just want Titans to finally have a hidden synergy exotic combo. Like with Necrotic + Osteo/Thorn for Warlocks or Mothkeepers + Ex Diris for Hunters
Warlock: mid
Hunter: Meh, I can make it work prob
Titan: holy sh..
The hunter exotic looks like it the explosions have a chain reaction type effect. The secondary explosions.
if it depends on the target i think it would be good. kill a red bar get the suspend but bigger targets require more needles. the other 2 seem fine to me
Y’know, Armamentarium was the very first D2 exotic armor I got, and it’s what my Titan is wearing today. With the way I play, unless I’m going into something very specific, nothing has proven to be more CONSISTENTLY useful than just giving me another grenade. 🤷♂️
Then you just don’t know how to build craft
I only use Armamentarium on void Titan these days, and only because void-play HEAVILY revolves around grenades (proccing volatile rounds, weakening, etc). With the new BRAVE weapons and the origin trait, I find simply having a deeper "well" of grenade energy to fill with all the ridiculous sources of grenade energy regen void Titan has access to (offensive bulwark, devour, and indomitability) to be the most useful.
PREACH!
Try Heart of Inmost Light with Onslaught Weapons, high discipline stat, good mods and subclass build-crafting. You’ll create a very powerful gameplay loop that buffs both ability potency and regen. You’ll go infinite on your abilities and never have to worry about orbs of light if you have a firepower or similar mod.
the thing with arma is once you throw 2 grenades back to back it doesnt do anything until you get both back
I’m hype for that Titan one. They’re gonna have to make it hit like a fucking freight train for it to be viable, but at least it’s cool.
How is khepris 2.0 cool?
@@omensoffateBecause unlike khepris it actually hits stuff due to tracking. Besides, arc dodge triggers it. If they somehow turn out to not be absolute dogshit, they could have some play...in pvp. Not in pve, not at all.
@Le_Canker Unless the rockets actually use keywords. If the rockets would scorch or suppress or something it could still be usable in PVE, but I imagine it'll be straight trash because it's a Titan exotic and if it isn't it'll be nerfed to be trash before you know it.
@@jhempit’s gonna be busted asf for the first week and then they will nerf it into uselessness and you’ll never use it again.
@theotherbacon That is the way of thr titan
for the Titan exotic I think there was 7 explosions on the dodge whereas there is 6 rockets on the shield, so maybe kills increase the number of missiles?
Casual PVE Titans stay winning.
This Is Our Game 💪
Saw a meme about how the titan and hunter exotics are just the bombadiers but they probably dont have subclass synergy
I completely forgot about khepris horn because its literally useless
So now titans and hunters get an exotic that they already have, and warlocks get an exotic for a thing they already excel at
Titan wall firing rockets is so funny
the way i see it, the Warlock chest is basically a free Aspect. it lets your melees proc Suspend like the Aspect does and can either free up that Aspect for a different two on Strandlock, or give Prismalock access to easy Suspend
Titans will look at this and go "hell yeah"
These exotics look basic as a base exotic. Ideally they are in the Exotic Class items and just weren't listed last week due to spoilers for new gear.
If this chestpiece is available as Spirit of Mataidoxia, and ANY charged melee hit suspends, this would be insane with the sliding Arc melee.
If they were, I think bungie would just have cases with "censored" or something like that. Hopefully I'm wrong
Fr. The warlock and hunter exotic traits should have been subclass aspects.
7:35 nah, im bout to make a colossus set up 😂😂
Put on Skyburners and this exotic with a ton of transmog that makes me look like a Cabal Colossus 😂😂😂
I don't care how much damage it does, I will glue the new chest plate to my titan. Then possibly eat the glue after.
Taking all of these with a grain of salt until we know the full exltic perk descriptions. We've had some bangers come out that we thought were mid in previous teasers.
Love that the Titan exotic has Failsafe on it, and it's called "Exodus rockets"
Y'all got an exotic with Failsafe in it.
Tbh even if it hits like a wet noodle I'm excited to build into thruster uptime and just put on my best gen 4 Armored Core impression.
That’s what I said too tbh, it looks like it would be AMAZING to run with a radiant/ignition/incandescent build or with a void destabilizing proc. I can imagine jolt actually being fun too lmao.
Exotics are supposed to be the core of builds, if they’re weak they’re not worth using
@@jamesreinsimarye exactly, idk what this guy's talking about 💀 if your exotic ISN'T the core of your build... why are you wearing an exotic?
Put on Sweet business with hazardous propulsion and finally become……Valus Ta’aurc
Or grand overture to be the ultimate colossus lmao
@@eliot58 but how will you fire a mini gun and fire missles out your butt at the same time?!
It kinda feels like they're on the wrong classes.
Warlock one would feel better on the Hunter I think.
Titan one would be better on Warlock. i.e. Magic missiles on rift cast
I think each will be pretty ok in their own regards, its just how they would be used and how they would actually function.
Also old better devils doesn’t have osmosis or permeability and there running arc in the clip
A thougt has just occurred to my sleep deprived brain. The titan exotic may proc off of the dodge ability, which could be super funny
I'm envisioning something like 60k total damage for Towering Barricade and something like 25k total damage for Thruster and Rally.
i know exactly how i feel.. the warlock chest visually is very nice.. as for the perks themselves they kinda feel = to aspects
In my opinion I dont think Bungie should even give us any news about upcoming exotics. Exotics are meant to be rare and should have an air of mystery almost to them. It also sets expectations always to polarization because no one can actually build craft with them yet. Maybe I just miss the days of being surprised by this game, could be that as well
the hunter chestpiece might be huge if it works with flow state, since if it does, flow state procs off kills with volt shot weapons.
All these exotics will do more. The warlock one probably gives you melee energy on suspension kills Ala dawn chorus
That’s just arc dodge.
@@fysean Thanks for clearing that up. Not a titan player so I had no idea that was a thing.
If the rocket barricade goes something along the lines of "dealing damage with the rockets grants class ability energy" there could be some good use cases. Im thinking void titan with overshield and devour + either bombers for more grenades or utility kickstart
For the Warlock exotic, if it could be similar to Getaway Artists allowing get suspension with melee while running other expects.
I love your Hunter reaction…and how they shoot and hit nothing right before they show it.
The titan one should've turned your Q into a charging headbutt.
Titan one might be good, but if you get your class ability back if all rocket hit something that might be better
Please don't buy it regardless. Bungie is one of the worst companies in the gaming industry and Destiny 2 is one of the worst games. Neither deserve anymore of your time and money.
@@TheFirstCurse1 I've been in this love-hate relationship since I first played TTK. I've loved Destiny but have hated what it's become. That being said, if they put out a good product for the finale, I will get it. Just so that I can see the conclusion of everything I've been playing all these years. But after that? I'm done with Destiny and I'll put it to bed. There are so many other games I'd rather play, but I will admit that if TFS is good, I'll pick it up to finish the Light v Dark saga I've been watching for so many years.
But if it's lackluster and ends up being Lightfall 2.0, I will avoid it entirely and uninstall the game.
But I won't know until it's released, hence why I'm waiting.
@@TheFirstCurse1Why are you here just to be a hater?
@@mackncheese1683 To try and help people. You all need to realize how horrible this game and Bungie are.

If that's all the Warlock one does it's gonna be mostly useless.
The hunter one seems like it might be spamable but I doubt it won't have a cool down, or just won't do enough damage.
Titan one looks cool but is dependent on how much damage it does, or if it has additional utility
This will go 1 of 3 ways:
1. The warlocks boring exotic turns out to be great but the hunter and titans is bad because no damage
2. The Hunter and Titans exotic pack a massive punch and the Warlocks one is DOA
3. They are all bad
I wish Better Devils was normal kinetic instead of Strand. Seems like they’re reprising SO MANY primaries as strand and stasis instead of keeping them as they were. Plain kinetic weapons are great. I’m getting fewer and fewer options for chromatic fire haha
Hazardous propulsion + suspending barricade go brrrr
For the hunter one it looks like jts just the jolt that’s clearing the ads and not the actual exotic
They talk about the titan's armor being for rocket lovers. The character pulls out his rocket right after. I wonder if it synergizes with rockets?
They’re shite. You’re welcome
my opinion has arrived
“Doohicky” exotics (TRADEMARKED BY ME) are a thing that i kinda like being back from D1.
The lack of info is defiantly the frustrating part because like others have said, right now these look kinda underwhelming, I'm trying to be optimistic here but new exotics in the recent seasons seem to be a coinflip on being trash or good.
The Titan exotic look gimmicky as it can get but I'm all for it. Is just a very cool and original idea.
It’s original? It’s khepris 2.0 lol
Giving us Mid exotics for the start of final shape is…. A move. But, I am looking forward to some more of our current exotics getting reworked.
We just need more information on these exotic because it seem like everyone is low balling them. I think the titan exotic might buff rocket damage, which could be nice.
they should call the titan chest the eyes of yesterday
Would be a typical Bungie thing if thing if Hazardous Propulsion shipped bugged, was accidentally was getting wolfpack rounds from Gally and had to be banned from contest mode last minute in an announcement that is only posted to Twitter 20min before the raid goes live.
New Titan Exotic + Drengrs Lash + Kepris Horn
Mataidoxia would let me make a pretty good weavewalk build, since I normally keep the wanderer on, but weavewalk only having 1 fragment slot.
We’ll probably get a deep dive Thursday, explaining things in-depth.
Yeah if kills shortly before class ability for the titan exotic would increase number or damage of rockets (or both), it could actually be super interesting
Warlocks are jumping to the conclusion that it needs all three melees to suspend, which we don’t know for a fact yet. Just remember what we all thought about necrotic
I know it won't happen, but I'd like to have a burst damage super exotic armor for Warlocks. (Celestial Nighthawk/ Pyrogale/CotFS)
Hunter and Warlock pieces feel like an Aspect pushed into an Exotic. Meanwhile Titan...
bungie knew people would be all over prismatic and the exotic class items so they forgot to give a little strength to these 💀 unless the titan one ends up being busted upon release until it inevitably gets nerfed
Of the rockets can escalate damage maybe there is a play. Number of kills, matching elemental, ability kills, something.
Hunter exotic I would’ve preferred to see a stasis exotic that grants an additional shuriken and provides melee energy for every target it hits/more energy on kills
Getting more rockets for getting more kills before popping the titan class ability would be cool
