Before they graduate on High school, they had a car accident. Gu Hai was left unconscious because he protected Bai from the impact. Bai brought Gu hai to the hospital but he told Hai's cousin ( Gu Yang) to tell him that he ( Bai) is already dead. 8 yrs have passed and Gu hai still think that Bai is dead which isnt true. When they found each other again, they admitted that they never stopped loving each other for the years that passed. And of course, the main antagonist is Gu hai's father- a homophobic man. But in the end, they convinced Gu hai's father and they got married 💕💕💕💕.

This scene established Gu Hai's "addiction" to Bai Luo Yin. After many years since it's release, this is still the gold standard of any BL from any country. Simple yet moving and powerful story, great chemistry between the lead stars that make for an unforgettable masterpiece the likes of which very rarely come our way.
Absolutely the closest is KPTS from Thailand and Eight Sense from South Korea.Addicted remains my number one show!!
When I first watched this scene I thought Gu Hai was going to rescue him like some wierd drama. I understood why this series is called Addicted.

This series left me so frustrated at the end. Gu Hai literally forced himself onto Yin Zi several times. He felt like some sort of predator and Yin Zi just kinda gave in to the whole thing. I don’t see anyone else saying this so I must be confused.

Johnney in the kidnap scene is magnificent. His expressions and the tone of his voice show superb acting skills and excellent direction. It must have been so hard for Jimmey to hold back on affection. His eyes betray his love and he is still trapped.

Have watched hundreds of bl movies and dramas but no one compares addicted ,its the year 2022,and i still can't get over gu hai and yizin,cant even remember how many times I'd watched this drama and the no of times i had read the novels,i really wish they keep on their friendships though the dramas got cancelled
This is my favorite book in the world. My guilty pleasure. I read it twice a year because I can't get past them. Their love story is the most epic love story I've ever known. Gu Hai's love is dark and possessive, but infinitely caring. I LOVE THEM! Please Taiwan, bring them back for a proper series. These guys are the only ones that can play these characters.

Idk why but I feel happy and satissfied when people admit their love of this masterpiece. I feel connected to you guys on a very deep level. There will be a Thai remake, and the story will be told again, it makes me so emotional.

I'm confused. I really don't undertand how everyone is romanticizing this toxic behavior. It's seriously digusting how fans keep glorifying this kind of behavior in BLs. You don't kidnap, handcuff, and forcefully kiss someone. Nothing about this was cute. I get its a part of the shows premise "being obsessively addicted to someone", but lets not sit here and act like this shit is just all fine and cute.
Every thing about romance is not just fantasy. Every love and stories have different emotions and thats what create choices. Try to understand the story from its perspective. Read the novel to get more pictures. People are really not fool to adore this masterpiece, there is life in it.

The mental, emotional, and physical manipulation and abuse that they put eachother through is exhausting and so unhealthy! It's not cute to me at all. Forever a classic, in its own well deserved category. A beautiful gem amongst mediocre production. Why can’t they come together now? Did they forget what gave them their good fortune of today?
