When I was a kid his acting gave me goosebumps, when I was a teenager it was the same. Today I'm old still he gives me goosebumps. He is the greatest Mohamad Ali in our cinema who punched a way above his weight and challenge the status quo until his departure. This is a man with a world class talent who we're lucky to call the true hero in our cinema.
If you have addressed Gamini Fonseka, I'm fully agree with you. But still, you can not underestimate the acting of Joe Abewickrama. He's a versatile actor like Gamini Fonseka with unmatched talent. You can't find better actors than Gamini and Joe for these roles. Both are legends and superheroes. They are like fine wine tasting with more class when the time goes by. DR. D. B. Nihalsinghe has done a superb movie to the Sinhaleese Film Industry! Hats off! ❤💐

What a movie..first we watched when we were schooling.. Again couple of years back got the opportunity to watch this digitally reprinted version in a theater. Outstanding performance of Gamini and Joe is unbelievable. Thanks for uploading in RUclips for young generation to watch one of the greatest films ever produced in Sri Lanka❤

Great powerful movie. One of the best movies from Sri Lanka. I saw it for the first time today. Great acting, story line and well ahead of its time. Great camera, and script. The cast is the best Sri Lanka ever had. The director and producer deserve lots of praise.

Thank you for putting this movie on RUclips. I live overseas and it was a treat to watch this classic movie once more. I first saw this movie at the the Wembley Theatre in Kandy Sri Lanka. Gaming looked so handsome very lean and with all his hair in place. He had so much style when he turned around or lit his cigarette and also his English was brilliant. Gamini managed to create a new kind of audience by getting the affluent Colombo crowd who watched only English films to start watching the Sinhala Cinema I think Gamini did a great service in this regard. I had the great privilege of meeting Gamini on several occasions when he bought a property in Kadugannawa and drove Upto Kandy in the evenings. He used to drop into the Queen's Hotel where I used to work. He was an absolute gentleman and a privilege to know him.
May his soul rest in peace 🕊️

This is very well written and directed movie. Powerful words in the dialogues were so next level.
Thanks a lot Torana team/management for releasing these king of master piece movies for public views over keeping them hidden. Otherwise, those who were born after this era would never have a chance to watch these king of mind-blowing creations.

What a powerful strong acting by Gamini Fonseka and Joe A beywickrama.Stil this film is so young.Dialogue of this flim has given an additional Value.Even today can compete with any international film. I remember ,even as a scholar I watched some shooting in Galle (old PWD bunglow as ASP' official bunglow) and valued the film by seeing 3 times

This fill came as a wide angle film, but the digital conversion is very poor. Anyway, what a fine film. I first wathced this when I was schooling.
This movie was ahead of its time.I watched it in 1971 at the Empire Theater.Again I watched it last night.I felt like it was filmed this year.Superb performance by Gamini and versatile acting of Joe who made his name as a comedian.
Mr. Joe Abeywickrama is the best actor Sri Lanka ever had. Unbelievable facial expressions.
