- Ingredients for the German Apple Pancake:
3 to 4 Tablespoons of Butter
2 Apples
3 Tablespoons of Sugar
4 Large Eggs
1 Cup of Milk
1 Cup of Flour
1/8 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1/8 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract (optional)
1/8 Teaspoon of Salt
I just made this and only added a little yoghurt to the pancake batter. It is super yummy - thanks for the recipe. Reminds me of home - Germany.
I make mine the same way but use lots more cinnamon, both with the apples & also in the flour mixture. This is 1 of our fam faves.
Add some french to the same recipe (amazing) add cream cheese, sour cream and some powdered sugar mix into the batter and WOW! This apple pancake,, I hope you try it , the kids love it too.. All the kids say thank you..

This recipe has nothing to do with Germany. A German apple pancake does not see an oven from the inside. It only sees the pan.
