- This is my first unboxing video and I must say, though it's not the most informative...I genuinely had a lot of fun while recording and editing this!!
I got a Mayflash F300 the other day and it changed my life. It didn't make me better, but it did make me more comfortable.
That's dope! Glad you found something that works for you!! I let go of the fight stick and switched to hitbox myself, but still think ppl should play whatever works best for them!
Nice video man. As an xbox player not many fight sticks or hitboxes so this video helped me to decide about the Hori for xbox.
Greatly appreciate it Brodie! I’m still growing and learning as a content creator so glad that my video could help you out! ✊🏾🙌🏾
I was reluctant with the Hayabusa hardware on those Hori sticks at first, because I was used to Sanwa. But after using a Hori stick with Hayabusa lever and buttons for like over 2 years now, I can say those are really good. It even has a few pros over Sanwa. For example the lever is a bit lighter to move, thus I can do quarter circle motions a bit faster than on a Sanwa lever. The buttons are very sensitive like the Sanwa but also lighter to click.
If you play over a longer period of time this might cause less strain on your hands while being very accurate at the same time.
Hayabusa is premium quality hardware in my opinion. No reason not to get it, if you want a stick. It won't be the hardware holding you back.
Much respect!! With this being my 1st stick as an adult, I didn't really have a preference as far as buttons, levers, etc. more-so just wanted to experience what playing on a fight stick felt like! I can definitely agree with you though...it's not the hardware holding ppl back lol
I was going to get this stick but I ended up getting a used Hori Rap N which has worked perfectly. It also works on PC,ps3,ps4, and ps5. Love the video!
That's dope!! Got a new stick and saved some money! Big W lol and greatly appreciate it! Just trying to improve as a content creator one video at a time.
Man, I feel you about doin' so much damn research. I REALLY wish mayflash would finally release some proper ps5 compatible sticks for that casual, budget end. I last played on a stick with with those badass dreamcast sticks and been missin' it so much. It's looking a lot like this is the best bang for the buck option for ps5 since there's just no consistent budget options! So I love the opinion from a non-pro or hardcore hobbyist. I heard that feel on missin' fighters and SF6 is getting me back into them and it's an exciting time for fighters.
They recently put out the Mayflash F700, with full ps5 console functionality, as well as many other devices. Check it out!
Great choice of stick, my favorite new stick for this current generation.
Just know everything is preference so just try all the springs levers and buttons you can for yourself before you make a decision of what's right for you. Good video!
Appreciate the support! And I got you! May trade the Hayabusas for Sanwas…may change out the lever…first I need to learn how to drive rush consistently on this damn thing 😂😂😂
Nice, I started fighting games this February and pre ordered the Razer Kitsune as my first arcade style controller
Mannnnn I’m so ready for the Razer Kitsune to come out! We’re gonna be learning hitbox together 😂😂✊🏾✊🏾
was rocking an etokki omni for the longest time, felt it was time for a new stick and wanted PS5 functionality for when im ready to go to locals. I just bought the T8 edition of this stick. Im hyped!
Let's gooooooo!!! Major W!! I had to let the arcade stick go and have been playing on hitbox as a personal preference, but the stick itself was great quality!!! I just found myself now preferring the all-button layout over having a lever for movement.
Well regarding the lever...it fits most levers, but mostly it can fit the jaoanese and korean lever. So customizing it will be straightforward
I feel you!! I don't use this stick anymore, but when I was doing a lot of research, I found myself seeing ppl talk about the customization process not being overly difficult...especially if you're already comfortable with the build of a fight stick!
@@shadowzonegc agreed if you're already comfortable with the build this should be an easy choice if you are to buy the hori alpha. The only gripe i have with this stick, this is mainly personal preferrence anyway, is that i have to change the buttons as well from hayabusa buttons to sanwa which i usually use. Well a small issue but can be disregarded at some point. But for sure i'm changing the lever out for a korean lever in a heartbeat if i do get this stick
I hope the alpha has served you well so far its my go to travel option. It's very easy to mod even accommodates a low collar korean lever.
Nice video man 👍 glad yo be new subscriber 🫶
I have one question how are you doin with fighting games after a year did it improve your skills and combos ?
@@SalahKoF-AFL Majorly appreciate you for watching and commenting!!
My skill definitely improved in fighting games A LOT from when I first started, but I switched from an arcade stick to a hitbox after about a month or 2 of this video. I was struggling a bit too much with the arcade stick styled controller lol!
debating getting one for my Xbox. I am old and have arthritis in my left thumb and i am getting WRECKED with a sore thumd...
you're a good man
I appreciate it!! I've been M.I.A. to RUclips for personal reasons but am slowly yet surely becoming back active!
As soon as you took the stick out of the box, my brain broke because the image is mirrored.😅
😂😂 Mannnn I told myself like 5 times not to forget to take off the mirrored filter before I recorded 😂
@@shadowzonegcit's okay brother. You are going to make mistakes doing the content. Just correct it on the next. A part of the process. Great review by the way
I'm glad you clarified, I was thinking it was a right handed stick.
They really should put a mirroring control in the youtube client. That way when I watch my political videos I could simply flip left and right. I'd pay a lot for that.
@@shadowzonegcIt's been half a year. Where's the optimal combos with the stick?
I genuinely thought the stick is on the wrong side the whole video 🫠
Did you know that the best cord management solution is to start wrapping it around your hand at where the lever starts and then using a bit of the slack to wrap it around the loops you made then putting the loop around the ball top/lever? It's faster than opening the stick and wrapping around the hinges and doesn't stress the cable compared to when people loop the cable around the stick itself.
For PS5, the Hori FS Alpha is probably the best bang for the buck if you can find it in stock for MSRP. The Hayabusa parts (buttons were previously Kuro but had problems) were co-developed by Vampire Savior God, Sakonoko so Hori is saving money by using proprietary parts as well as providing their customers with reliable parts which Hori strangely does not sell for some reason. I would think the idea behind the Hayabusa Lever is to mirror a standard Sanwa JLF but .10 foot pound less tension of a JLF (.90) with a longer throw to compensate for the spring tension of v-shaped groove of the pivot (smoother movement of the lever's shaft).
I think most of the FS Alpha's inventory is sold out and Hori will have another production for a Tekken 8 edition roughly around it's release date.
I’ve never actually thought about managing my cord like that!!
Anything to keep from stressing the cable and having to reach out to Hori support! ✊🏾
Nice video, dude.
Majorly appreciate it! Just trying to grow as a content creator.
Did you end up sticking with it?
Sadly no! I’ve been grinding Tekken on the Razer Kitsune hitbox…I just couldn’t get the hang of the arcade lever lol!!
A left handed stick didnt know they made them mmm the camera is mirrored in it.
I just responded to someone else about this…I told myself multiple times not to forget to take the mirror filter off on OBS!
And guess who still forgot 🤦🏾♂️😂
i had this stick for like 2 weeks but had crazy wrist pains. i switched to a hitbox. also coming from pad
Did you any experience with a arcade stick before?
Sometimes it's a sign of improper holding.
I feel you! So far no wrist pain for me, but I plan on giving a hit box style controller a try in the near future whenever I can find one that’s actually available and doesn’t cost me a part of my soul lol!
@@shadowzonegc unless you're willing to building yourself with a plastic enclosure, it's going to cost a lot
i started getting into street fighter just last month, i had a moderate amount of wrist pain coming from FPS gaming, i dont think it's wise to give my other wrist a bad time haha, so i immediately look for hitbox instead, and im building mine right now.
@@shaqthegr8884 I've been doing my research these last couple of days and I'm quickly realizing PS5 accessible Hitboxes are so d**n expensive lol
Porque tienes el stick en la derecha? El mio esta en la izquierda jajaj
jaja Tengo la pantalla volteada horizontalmente en mi software de transmisión para que todo se vea al revés para todos ustedes.
Please gift it to me 🙏
flip the video bud... we are looking at mirror image and its killing me
Mannnn I realized that I never returned the camera back to regular after I finished editing and uploading the video.
I didn’t wanna fake a reaction and re-record so I just uploaded it like this and am just tryna be more mindful in the future.
in my opinion nacon daija is better than hori alpha
