I never really thought about it until now, but the Kalos starters never got Mega Evolutions. Granted, Greninja got Battle Bond which basically acts like a pseudo Mega Stone, but still: Chesnaught and Delphox got nothing.
Ur right, when I was younger I thought they'd get mega evolutions and was kinda disappointed they didn't, especially with the favoritism of Greninja getting a variant in the anime (and in the next game not counting the remake of ruby/sapphire) and exclusion or Delphox and Chestnaught :[
