I am so glad I searched RUclips for this and found your video. The pattern I’m working from was doing it in such a more complicated way and the was they phrased their explanation is not ideal. I was like… huh? Rocket science?
This is the first time I find a selfmade slip. I am allergic to stretch (elasthan, lycra ….) This is certainly helpfull But I wonder do you know a way or a video about a person who makes patterns for underwear (slip and bra) without stretch. May be it is possible with lyocell ? I will be very very very grateful if you can help me with that… Anneke and stitches it too you know
There are a bunch of youtube videos called things like "why is there a pocket on women's underwear" and they explain that it's a gusset and why gussets are good. But they don't answer the question of why the one seam is unsewn. Which i understand to be a cost-saving measure by cheap manufacturers. I think you could draw some traffic to your channel if you make a video explaining it
For some women, the front seam is just really annoying. Either they’re really sensitive to the slight extra scratch from seams, or they fall in a spot that can make some activities like riding a bike result in the seam digging into really sensitive areas. It does save manufacturers a single stitch line and having to cut an outer gusset piece, but honestly I think it;s the fact some percentage of women hate the double seam that keeps them making the back seam only version.
Great tutorial! Thank you for sharing ❤
It doesn't matter how many times I sew a gusset, I forget the sewing order Every. Single. Time. Every single time. Thank you for this.
Very cool! Thank you for clear instructions and not wasting time w unnecessary chatter.
Liked and subbed!❤
Thank you! Let us know what else you would like to see

I’m amazed this only has 2k views, because I’ve watched it 4 times myself, at least once per time I have to sew a gusset lol
The best! Thank you!
