    Greetings from NYC David, I say this to let you know that your tutorials are making difference for Modelers all over the world and I learn something new with every video
    When I saw the word "engine" I thought it was going to be the Fockewulf BMW, I have the Eduard Fockewulf 190 F8 kit but it waits for your radial engine tutorial, the work you did on that engine was simply incredible! But then again so is all of your work
    Once again Thank You for taking the time to share!

    Excellent work, Mr. Damek! (I infer that to be your name.) I wish you could have shown us more of your talents here.
    I very much would like to see your efforts, both in painting and super-detailing, on larger scale replicas; to extend the example you on this occasion have brought before us, the Supermarine Spitfire RAF Mk.IXc Fighter: specifically, the Tamiya 1:32nd-scale kit and the Airfix 1:24th-scale iteration. In these, I very much would appreciate you delving deeper into the fine points, much as we have seen you on numerous occasions present us.

    You know a good way of getting paint on those small details if you want to paint your stock plastic control panel/dashboard is to paint a hard flat area white and as long as you make sure there is only a small amount of paint, after the black paint you can press the dashboard onto the area with the white paint. The raised details will now have a coat of white ! :)

    Would you have any tips for building 1/24 scale merlin engines as I am building 2 of them for a build project, they are a little more detailed than the one showcased in this video by the way. I also want to say that your videos have inspired me to be better at scalemodeling and to try new techniques that I never would of thought about before, my models have been getting much more realistic as I have been watching your videos, thanks

    How would you recommend painting the cable features on a bf109e engine, which is painted black enamel? The instructions show the cable detail painted in gunmetal ( 56 ) but they are really narrow and hard to paint using a brush.

    krasna praca ako vzdy, chcem sa opytat ako bojujes s prachom aby ti nepopadal na cerstvo nastriekany model? mne vzdy nejaka ta mala ciastocka tam spadne aj ked farba schne dost rychlo.

    • @idaemonplasmo
      @idaemonplasmo  8 лет назад

      Tak buď to můžeš zafixovat x-20 nebo tekutým resinem jmenuje se to pigment fixer. Třeba mig dělá takovou modrou lahvičku.

    • @miroslavkapusta2967
      @miroslavkapusta2967 8 лет назад

      asi som to zle napisal, myslel som normalny prach co je v izbe aby nebol na povrchu ale spadne mi na model vzdy nejaka ciastocka a neviem ako to odstranit :)

    • @idaemonplasmo
      @idaemonplasmo  8 лет назад

      Jsem četl jiný komentář s pigmenty a nějak automaticky jsem reagoval i na toto :-D Jen trochu mimo téma. S barvou není až tak problém pokud na to spadne smítko. To jde jednoduše sbrousit jemným smirkem. Stejně tak u lakování. Jen tam je nutné si dávat pozor aby se smirek neprodřel na plast. To už se špatně přebarvuje. Momentálně jsem si koupil stříkací box, který žene všechny výpary a prach z barvy pryž z místnosti. Funguje to i na částečky prachu, které to odsaje dříve než se dostanou k modelu.

    Could someone explain how David uses GX100 Super Clear III coat after as it has different from aclrylic base and might melt the acrlylic XF69 coat of water-based paint?

    • @idaemonplasmo
      @idaemonplasmo  5 лет назад

      Hello, Tamiya Xf-69 is not pure acrylic but acrylic-layer and is not water-based. However, you can use super clear III also on Vallejo, citadel water-based colors without problems. GX100 is lacquer varnish buy is not aggressive for other types of colors if you will spray one or two soft layers first.

    • @AndreyYazo
      @AndreyYazo 5 лет назад

    seeing this video made me think about the old revell spitfire mk 2 that I converted to a PR mk 1. I scratch made an engine similar to that with polystyrene sheet and some spare road wheels from a Panzer IV. It is not half as good as that engine.

    If you wish to be prototypical Rolls-Royce engines are painted in an 80% gloss black this means everything. ignition leads were often black cotton braided and the name was never painted in. Boring I know and does not make for interesting models but id you wish to be a rivet counter that is how you should paint a Merlin. How do I know? I have access to an un-restored Merlin.

      I couldn't resist painting the Rolls Royce lettering in my 1/32 Tamiya spit Merlin's rocker covers. It ain't prototypical but it impresses more visitors that way, usually what they comment on. i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac358/Bebebeelzeubub/spit10.jpg
