Listening to the story, it occurred to me that the neighbor could have been closed to the prior of the house and had been give n a ke y to their door and the ability to turn off the alarm in case he needed to enter to help his friend. But, how or why did he leave that shoe behind? Perhaps in his rush to leave before being caught and in the dark when it slipped off, he had no time to search for it? I hope that the little girl had some counseling to help her get over the trauma.good story,
