They came up with the name. It was from an old battle cry. When the soldiers went to war they cried this if "For King and Country". So they thought, what a better cry. For King(God) and Country(home). And their brother Ben directs the videos. And yes they are all brothers. Their sister is Rebecca St. James. That is how they got started, they followed her on tour and they did all the lighting and sound.
They are in fact blood brothers. And their siblings all work with them n production and managing as well as their parents. Their sister Rebecca St James was very popular back in the early 90s Christian music. They came up with their own name as well. Research them. Their story and even the reasons for each of their songs is amazing. This is my favorite band and I’d suggest getting tickets for their concerts. Best shows I’ve ever been too.
Joel (the one with darker hair) had originally said 'All the Kings Men' as an idea for the band's name, then the producer that they had in the room said, "What about 'For King and Country'?" Joel looked at Luke (the TALL guy) and said, "That's it."
