  • On Easter Sunday in 1993, hundreds of inmates started the largest prison riot in Ohio’s history.
    When it was over, one guard and nine inmates were dead.
    Over 400 inmates took control of L-block at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville. What followed was 11 days of negotiations, kidnapping and murder.
    The authorities needed help to end the riot and turned to the news stations.
