One of the greatest guys I ever met. He was my warden at Indian River Juvenile Correction. He was a difference maker who cared about making a change. That’s my guy long live King Arthur

I hate to say this, my brother was there in that pod where the riot took place. He was sentenced to 30 yrs for breaking into a home (my dad and basically everyone on my dads side of the family were Columbus police officers, FBI, and my dad retired as a Deputy sheriff from Franklin County) my dad told me my brother had a gun (he was a meth user) he is out now, but get this a few years back the state of Ohio gave my brother a check for over $10,000 because he was there during the riot. I don’t have any contact with my brother. At the time I was stationed in Arizona with the Air Force, I did contact the prison to make sure my brother was okay. Since my dad was law enforcement, my dad would keep up on my brother during his prison time and once he was released with whatever system they use in law enforcement. I still can’t believe the state gave him a check. Plus his counselor that he had while he was in prison use to work for SSA, she did all of his paperwork right before he was released so he would have a SSI payment each month. Hard to believe.

I remember the atmosphere in the prison system in ohio back in 93
You should do something on the TCI ESCAPE 4-5 inmates took the box truck from and ran it through the fences

Heard there was no better man to serve as Warden when it comes to taking care of and being involved with his staff. The ODRC SURE has changed.

Tate was a cog in the machine unable and unwilling to improve the broken system. Shameful.
