Phil was by far the best uk contender but when you can jump over a car like '2 scoops' could it stays with you, No matter it's 30 years later! 😅 Saturday evening's were epic back then
For sheer aura of presence, domination and complete steely dedication to the projecting of character, Always thought of him as like a Gladiators version of WWE's Undertaker lol
I remember that guy from 92. Martial artist who didn't lose to Shadow and did a very fast string assault course. Didn't Phil Norman win in the final that year?
They started the music too late in this series. It’s meant to lead in with John Anderson counting down. Pretty weird nobody noticed given the music wasn’t even played in the arena
@@charlottethecat6302 Ultra skinny. I thought he still looked good, but I think he's ashamed. ;*( www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/gladiator-shadow-reveals-how-hit-6302022
I know Shadow was DQ'd in a later episode of this series for slipping on the platform and ended up sitting down. the event was stopped as he was getting up.
Phil Norman and Wesley '2 Scoops' Berry were such great competitors, I remember them to this day!
ANd you're 40 now, like me :)

Holy cow. Phil was an absolute legend. Still remember him and Paul Fields from 30 years ago. Legends the both of them
CLASSIC! How many times did Shadow destroy the stick?
Phil Norman is a hero, the moment he slipped and narrowly lost to 2 Scoops in the international gladiaors broke my heart lol.
If you look into Shadows eyes you have already lost
This is the punishing scene where Phil Norman gets a broozing and battering from Shadow.
But he survived!!
Back when TV was good.
Shadow called it, Phil Norman: Season 2 Champion!
Reg - "Welcome to the salty spitoon, how tough are ya?"
Phil Norman - "How tough am I? I won 5 points in Duel against Shadow"
Reg - "Right This way!"
Shadow reminds me of Darth Maul

I'm guessing the breaking the stick takes tension out of that end so makes it a lighter hit?
Shadow called it
Shadow has a big heart u can tell by the vibes
This comment hasn't aged well. He got done for drugs and kidnapping someone in 2021.
@@JoeyXSmith Drugs change people for the worst.

yep
Deano definitely didn't want any more of that. I don't blame him for JUMPING off.

Dark destroyer shadow best in duel
if you saw shadow now you would be SHOCKED.
What does he look like now

holy shit i've never seen a sledgehammer shot do that much damage in my life
Man Phil just taught my gym class in college
Edwin Star: War! I love his song.
3:24 If I was Phil, I would've asked Shadow if I could've kept that broken stick, and if he'd have autographed it for me!!!!!! ;*P
dude just looking at his eyes makes me have a lil pee coming down my leg
Kyle Wheeler 0
His eyes make me pull my feet under my blanket so I can cower completely!!
JS: Gets up, And gets straight into another bomb from Shad. POW!
Find it funny Shadow's beating up Phil for 30 seconds then gives him a great big hug lol.
Yes he did. He s a male version of nightshade both very adept at the duel- obliterating contenders
I'm trying to figure out if the contenders got better in the third series, or if Shadow just got worse?????
Think they just started defending all the time, should’ve been a few disqualifications instead of draws in my opinion
Shadow was the best male Gladiator. It’s such a shame the way he finished up.
they should change Shadow's name to Darkness Charlie Murphy. His eyes look like two trains are coming...
THere was quite a bit of defending in this one. In later series Contestants were not allowed to defend. it was a game of attack
He got a few hits back in but there’s not much u can when ur relentlessly being hit
Probably let it slide because phil managed to stay up there
loool, What time was Blind Date?
Drebln893 - 6:30, then I’m off down the pub!
@@IanJTaylor and then You Bet 😆
That's Blind D-date to you.
He was so hard shadow
Michael Bolton or the guy from the darkness.
I thought contestants were DQed if any part of their body other than your feet touch the ground.
Mitjitsu If you don't get back up quickly enough, that is.
I know Shadow was DQ'd in a later episode of this series for slipping on the platform and ended up sitting down. the event was stopped as he was getting up.
English tv is so cool
Shadow just from looking at the guy he been taking drugs any day of the week lol
Lol now shadow is in jail
