I don't think that I have ever made a night gown. That would be a new one for me. 👍🏾 Loved, loved, loved how you shared about God's yoke. That was beautiful. Thanks for letting your light shine💡
One of my favorite bible verses.. and your description of the verse was wonderful... so glad you tagged the Pastors Wife.. I also just discovered her and really enjoy you videos 😊
Thanks for creating the tag! And you will love the Harper. It's just so easy to make and effortless to wear - one of those things you reach for again and again. I need to make another one in white.
I love the Harper Cardigan, and Butterick 5792 is my TNT pattern for nightgowns. I always make them in nice cotton lawn. thanks for another great vlog!
Many blessings to you Jen. I also love the Lord and appreciate your witness for Him with each of your videos. Time is short. I believe that we will soon hear the trumpet and the Lord calling us up to spend eternity with Him. I will see you there!
Yay! 8640 made the tag 👏🏼👏🏼. Loved your choices and you were true to the brief. I still wonder about the Harper and wished I hadn't binned the pattern. If you remember i printed it but the pages mixed up and I could never match them so chucked it away in anger 😂. Well done for tagging in Jacque, she is just wonderful isn't she 🥰. Thanks for sharing your 5 👋🏼 xxx
Great info on the tags. It's nice to hear someone explain how they work. I kinda knew but I wasn't 100% sure if I understood them. I love that newlook6703 pattern. I'm from Australia I call vests vests😂. I might depend what part of Australia each person is from. It's a very vast country with lots of different cultures. I love the Sinclair's cardi and that night gown is pretty. I wear gowns too. I thought I was the only one😂. Lovely to see you Jen. Love your videos. ❤❤
I’m a nightgown person also. In winter I do put flannel pj pants on with socks. They do come off when I get in bed. I love all your essentials.I’m not much of a t-shirt person either. This past few days have been problems solved. I would have things on my cutting table and switch to my ironing board & then back to table. I don’t have any room whatsoever to put a little table. However I found a place right under my nose & is so convenient. Now my cutting table & ironing board stay pretty clear. Found a new more comfortable place where I can sit & iron large pieces of fabric. My next 2 projects are to put wheels on base of my mannequin so I can get her out of the way and to get a large board to put on my cutting table just when I need to cut a large piece of fabric. My table now is ok size but just awkward to cut patterns on large pieces of fabric.
@@TodayinJensSewingRoom Jen I’m elcheapo. My dress form is a mannequin I padded up. It attaches to a flat metal base. So I’m going to get those self adhesive caster wheels & attach them to the bottom of the metal base. If your dress form sits on something like this you could use casters. I have also seen if your dress form is attached to a pole or hanging from a pole somehow they have attached the pole to the wheels of a office chair. Found old office chair & just used the wheels. I love my dress form but sometimes her fat hips gotta move.
I must get that Sinclair cardigan! It is on my list with seven(!) 7- checks. I tried my first S6840 just last week and love the results. I have plans for one or, possibly two more so far. I don't have a vest pattern but do have a very nice sleeveless shirt pattern which is quite similar. I have made it many, many times and even added an A-line skirt to make a cute, short summer dress. Love your choices and have missed seeing you on RUclips. Is it me, or have you been away? Anyhow, thanks for your great picks! Katy
You're so right about the heat here in Florida. I bought Simplicity 8640 but haven't made it yet. I need to get moving on that. Nice choices! Yay nightgowns.
Great essentials! I have the Harper cardigan pattern but, I haven’t made it yet! And I agree with your thoughts in the “yoke” it keeps us on the narrow way but, it’s made just for us and it’s easy to follow along. Thank you Jen for the patterns and the scripture! ❤
Which version of 8640 do you make? Yours all look lovely. Carole gave me the pattern, so now I get to join the 8640 club too, but I'm not sure which version to make.
Great video, thanks for sharing 😊 I would love to know where you got that beautiful fabric that you are wearing. I'm hoping to make it in a dress and skirt, lol. Take care.
It's me again.....! RE gowns- I get sweaty and my legs stick together when I sleep. That is why I mostly wear PJs. Is that too much information? Anyhow, do you not have that? How do you avoid that in gowns? I ask because I like them. Katy
I was going to tag you but I saw that Carole already had LOL :). Love the vest idea. I made a fun one with black jacquard fabric on the front and a fun colorful paisley velvet on the back in the late 80's - I lovedd that thing (I think I still have it somewhere!!). 🧵 I love that you tagged Jacque - I also just found her and I really like her 😊
Thanks! You should see if you still have that vest. I bet it's very you. And I love Jacque too! She's so real, so authentic. I really enjoy her personality.
Great video. I also like nightgowns more than pajamas.
Me too🙂

Yes, I agree. Her description of that passage was wonderful😊
What a great basics list! I haven’t thought much about vests… but now I think I need one! Hugs ❤️
i really must try the Harper at some point. so many people love it. thank you for sharing your essentials, Jen!

Yay I am not alone in wearing a nightgown. I make my own because at 70 Yr I like to cover my knees. Love your 5 essentials, must think of mine
Loved your vlog, as always ❤

You were tagged by two very special people❤
I love gowns also.😊
Great video. I haven’t made a vest yet but it’s definitely on my to do list. Thanks for sharing.

At the Eastern Gate - it's a date!

Totally agree with you on the nightgown need. Pajamas are not my thing.🤷♀️
Great choices i live in a place that's hot and freezing so so my wardrobe is varied thanks again
I love and sew a lot of nightgowns. I do make pajamas too, but more for lounging. I almost always sleep in a gown. Thanks for the great video!

Let me know how you end up doing the wheels on the dress form. I need some too.

I made the pajamas last year and love it. Wear it all the time, cause it is hot here, too!

Just gone last week - I was traveling. But I'm back!
You're so right about the heat here in Florida. I bought Simplicity 8640 but haven't made it yet. I need to get moving on that. Nice choices! Yay nightgowns.
5 essentials… very interesting idea! I used to love gowns more than PJ’s. I think if I made a gown it would look Victorian with tucks and lace❤️

Fun picks, my friend. 😘💗
😘🤗
Love your choices for the 5 essentials!
I bought the 8640 a few months ago but haven’t sewn it yet. Good reminder!!
Good list! I agree with you on the Harper - it’s a great, great cardigan pattern. 💞
It really is!
I have the Harper pattern teed up to make soon. Love your essential makes.
You will love it. It's such a great pattern.
Thank you!

I think of my yoke as the loving arms of God showing me the way.

It's one of the silky prints from JoAnn's. Not sure if they still have it. It's 100% polyester.
@@TodayinJensSewingRoom Thank you 😊
