Thank you for showing this live performance, it was 😮😮😮 amazing. I know exactly what you mean about Emma's voice. The first part of the song was like being wrapped in a warm blanket. Then she steps it up and I can only describe the feeling as her voice penetrating my soul. She is breathtaking every singly time she sings. Imagine was first released in 1971 when I was 6 years old and was one of the most influential songs of the 20th Century; but this is the best version of Imagine I have heard in my lifetime. This performance was from 25th October 2024. At 5 pm that day Emma announced on social media her first major concert in her own name for next October at Amsterdam's prestigious Royal Concert Hall (Concertgebouw). She then appeared on the Carrie Op Vrijdag (Carrie On Friday) show which was broadcast live at 7 pm. Emma was the last of 3 items/interviews on the show. Emma completed a lovely interview; discussing her world tour with Andre Rieu, her illness, the bullying she suffered at school, and her new concert. When it was put to her by the interviewer, Emma admitted, smiling, that her success was like giving her bullies the middle finger (Emma has always said though that she bears her bullies no ill will). Clearly this TV appearance was to help give an early boost to ticket sales for her concert. However, by 7:45 pm, the time Emma stood up to sing Imagine, her concert was already fully sold out!!
