    Lmao I love this guy - he opens the video with a page ripped from his previous video on Faraday's Law - but mostly because emits a fun attitude throughout his explanations. More teacher's ought to exhibit their passion and enthusiasm like this. Especially the crypt-keeper-like teachers, y'all need to take notes.

    I really appreciate the explanation. I have been doing fine on the problems but I didn't fully understand the processes at the root. Thank you.

    Tension is the answer. Once the energy has been flipped or pushed past the point of neutrality, it never looks back. :). Great work BTW!

    What makes loops "get used to" the field they're in ? I'm not sure about the answer, so could you help a bit Doc?

    How would we know that the field pointing to the right on the inside ?

  • @guitarttimman
    @guitarttimman 6 лет назад

    Yes! The right hand rule shows the current for a charge being dropped into the magnetic field is going clockwise, but remembering Lenz' law, the current will oppose the flux and go counterclockwise as it enters. Correct?

    what happens in the loop when its completely in the field thats into the page? no induced emf?

    • @AdoobII25
      @AdoobII25 8 лет назад +1

      nope, if the loop is falling in the range of the magnetic field and it's not spinning (the angle between the perpendicular on the area and the field vector isn't changing) then there will be no induced current unless it fall off the magnetic field range.

  • @darthglowball
    @darthglowball 3 года назад

    Wait, is Lenz's law caused by Lorentz forces in the loop cancelling and not-cancelling each other at certain times in different wire-pieces during the fall, thus creating the current?? If so, what if the loop and B-field are stationary, and the loop is fully inside the B-bield, but the B-field changes? I understand that according to the rules the flux will change through the loop area, thus causing the current flow, but the loop was at a standstill in my example, so no Lorentz forces to move the electrons, right? So how can there then be current due to the changing B-field?

  • @xxxx-fw2kk
    @xxxx-fw2kk 8 лет назад +5

    Why loops get used to the field...
    A magnetic field that changes in time causes an electric field. Because the induced field counteracts the change, there would be a point where the change in magnetic field over a period of time is zero. Therefore change in magnetic flux is zero. And since there is no change in magnetic flux, there is no induced current. Then it goes out of B, and counteraction process repeats.

    Suppose the loop is in between the region of magnetic field, such that there uniform magnetic field all over the loop. Then will there be no induced current as magnetic time changes, since change in magnetic field for that given interval of time is 0???

    Loops don't do things as if they choose to be happy. Flux means flowing. Time is passing. Is in flux. As is distance or location. Compared to the magnetic pole location the loop is effected by spacetime in motion. Magnitude of warp or change in density energy dimensionally changes values of spacetime. Also known as aether density or magnitude. So magnitude density MD between loops or magnets and loops change or effect one another to reach equilibrium. And this is the same effect as center of gravity or mass. MD creates variational density and buoyancy. WARP DRIVE.

    its ironic the renault altonater on the delourium couldnt even power its own electrics. or was that the offset needed for marty mcfly to face himself in the past. then go back to the future. probably not

      +Doc Schuster I am an older student who came back to school after many years studying chemistry. My undergrad wasn't in sciences at all, and even during high school I was highly discouraged about pursuing it because I didn't really fit in with the education system at my school. I always "wasted" time on wanting to know why, and trying to apply stuff I learned. Despite being able to explain things, my grades were mediocre because I didn't focus on certain things. My teachers actually told me I should think of another career and not science, which forced me to do something i really hated. Taking my prerequisites for physics now, your channel has helped me TREMENDOUSLY. I recently destroyed the circuit section of exam because of your videos. Thank you. If I ever met you in real life, id give you a hug and some cookies lol.
      P.S.- I wish I took physics while watching your videos before I took any chemistry courses because things in chemistry makes so much more sense to me now.

    Instead of promoting 'hate'. Why don't you say this is nature's way of giving FREE energy to us, the disgraceful human.

  • @primodernious
    @primodernious 8 лет назад

    it's not the universe that is against you but yourself. nature doesn't hate anything. when a magnet induce a field in a wire loop electromagnet the north and south pole of the electromanget want to attract each other, but if the magnet is stronger than the electromanget, the electromanget don't have a great enough force to overcome the opposing magnetic field and no path to attract itself and the inductance become limited by to what degree the electromagnet is able to form a mangetic loop in on itself which is heavly reduced by the magnets opposition. in other word the magnets kill its own inductance by inducing in a straight path against the electromagnet. i know what i talk about because i have made a generator who let the electromanget opptain a magnetic path that is stronger than the path created by the opposing magnets. why would the induced field want to oppose the magnet if it can take a path that avoids it.
    the induced emf is always delayed and the voltage and current is always equal to the degree or amount the nort and south pole of the electromagnet is able to form a mangetic circuit or loop in on itself wich is limited by the opposing magnet.
