  • Chris takes a look at the differences between the Yeti Rambler Colster and the Snow Peak Can Cooler.
The Yeti Rambler fits standard 375ml cans and bottles like a glove, but with double-wall vacuum insulation. It features a 'Lock and Load Gasket' that secures your drink in place and the 'No Sweat Design' keeps your hand dry while your drink stays cold.
Snow Peak's Can Cooler comes in two sizes; 350ml and 500ml. Its stainless steel and vacuum-sealed structure ensure your drink will stay cool. It also features internal tabs that lock your drink in place.

Not sure if this technique is on Snow Peak's site but I found out online that after you press down on the can in the Shimo cooler, turn the can slightly clockwise to pinch the can further. That should resolve the issue of the can slipping out upside down. I don't think I'll find myself upside down with my beer but just something that's good to know lol. Great review!

We have since worked this out also! But you are right, how often does your beer in a stubby find itself upside down 😂

      Haha. 😂
Like we said in Boy Scouts “Always Be Prepared”.

I’ve found that with the Yeti, a lot of cans aren’t tall enough and the gasket makes it difficult to drink from as the lip of the can sits almost level with it. Also the weight of the Yeti makes it seem like your beer is full when it’s not!

Quite true it's seems to be made specifically to suit the standard 375ml cans and the deceiving weight trick gets us every time... Cant deny the beer stays cold though!

From what i’ve seen, you are supposed to insert can in the snow peak coozie then twist the can a quarter turn. That helps the knobs bite in the can and it won’t move

In the US the problem is some cans circumference is too small and the threaded ring won’t hold it in. Kind a shakes around. In addition most bottles are not quite big enough. (The yeti will keep bottles cool longer too). But,,, if you wrap a paper towel or similar around either they fit fine.
Oh, I suppose if you tried to fling or shake it out it’d fly. But who’s doing that.
