Hi kate ! just thought id say, you dont have to take the case right back to the metal ( unless you want to ? ) just a good sand and a few coats of paint brings them up like new ! almost ? lol. i did hear you 2 years back on uk FM ! on a day when conditions were mental !! im in clacton but a guy from your area was storming in at +30 ! lol 👍😄
great video you made. seeing this old stuff reminded me the last time i used Fm 40 UK channel CB. haven't switched on air since 1986 but it only ran 4 watts if that and me being around 900 feet above sea level i would get some good contacts for a straight Fm rig on a thunderpole. more than 100 miles from Buxton in Derbyshire to kings lynn in Norfolk one time like we had been only 1 mile apart on a UK40 no signal boosters and i few other times i swear i heard Canadian and American truckers chatting to each other with the signal fading in and out slow. but that was on UK Fm so not sure how that was even possible. because they are on Am i would imagine.
Ki Kate. I'm in possession of old school President Jackson mk1. Can you recommend someone in UK who can service it, replace capacitors etc? Regards Jakub
Great Video Kate. Nice to see some AM/FM skip in action. Just goes to show, you don't need an all bells and whistles multimode radio!
Very cool Dave 349 is my neighbor here in Ontario Canada. Nice contact

Nick, Black Spirit in Wales is your man.
i don't know who nick is. what does he do. does he repair old radios or something?
Yes, Nick lives in Wales and repairs radios. He knows his stuff, has been around for ages, and is reasonably priced.
