When 2Pac signed with Death Row & got bailed out, Suge told Dre Snoop DJ Quik DPG etc to give him all their best stuff for All Eyez on Me. California Love was a Dre/Cube track. Can’t C Me was a DPG track. This song was a DPG track. 2Pac inherited all the best stuff that was unreleased & then added the new song ideas that he wanted to do to it. Easy way to get a double album. As to why he dropped Deck’s verse, there were already 5 people on the song. He either thought Deck was one too many (& not as big of a name as the rest) or he thought the verse outshined people. We’ll never really know.

If Pac got bodied then why is his rhyme scheme and multi syllable rhyming more intricate than everyone on there? He literally busting triples syllables and etc with ease lmao. Maybe metaphor wise they were better though he had some nice metaphors anyway
Taz End of the day, bro it’s an opinion. It’s cool if you don’t agree. Pac’s rhyme was dope but, his rhyme scheme was not that intricate. Meth had a tighter rhyme scheme, metaphors and wordplay. Kurupt had better wordplay and a deeper vocab. I’ll give Pac the edge over Red. Deck had a deeper vocab and better metaphors. Pac had the best flow with Meth being a close second followed by Kurupt. If you think Pac had an “intricate” rhyme scheme, that’s fine but I don’t hear it. When I think of “intricate” rhyme schemes I think of Pun or G Rap. King Crooked. Rakim (especially on Know The Ledge). Pac’s rhyme was dope but I’ve heard Pac come way iller than that. And with a better rhyme scheme. Check Deadly Combination on Big L’s The Big Picture album. I’m an emcee, bruh. I have an ear for this ish too.
Tripp7'nz PAC’s rhyme scheme was dope on Deadly combination but his Multisyllables wasn’t like it how was on here. His rhyme was intricate, very. I can link you to Pac’s verse highlighted if u want. Pac’s verse is more intricate than Meth easily. And Multi Syllable Rhyming wise Pac blew everyone out the map. Kurupt has the best vocabulary but Pac 2nd. The metaphors and wordplay part is very subjective. But Pac having a better rhyme scheme and better multi syllable rhyming aren’t opinions. It’s literally true
Taz I’ve seen it and the highlights are subjective as well. As an emcee some of the highlights weren’t intentionally constructed to rhyme which is why the rhyme pattern of the highlighted rhymes don’t hit at specific times. The best way to describe what I’m talking about is eLZhi’s “Rules of Rap.” Listen to that. Not only does he explain multisyllabic rhyming but also the precision in where to place a rhyme within a rhyme to make it hit right. I know because that’s how I used to write when I used to rap. Layers of multisyllabic rhymes where is have different sounds rhyming at specific points through 8-16 bars. Pac’s verse wasn’t doing that in a way that was mind blowing to me. It was actually kinda simplistic. But that’s my opinion. Intricate rhyming is “Rules of Rap” by eLZhi. He goes second on the joint. Those are the kind of rhyme schemes that makes me raise an eyebrow, bruh. I’m a lyricist, man.

As to why he dropped Deck’s verse, there were already 5 people on the song. He either thought Deck was one too many (& not as big of a name as the rest) or he thought the verse outshined people. We’ll never really know.
@@steveknick1978 good point. Didnt know that. Deck wouldnt outshine Pac but. There still east coast.

@PBBTV Who's from New York on that label beside a Pac?
@PBBTV No. Kurupt from Philly
@PBBTV Not New York though. But while your at it who else from the East Coast. You got Pac Kurupt, who else?

Deck is a sleeper in the Wu.
That Triumph verse🔥🔥🔥
I was a ten year old white kid when this album came out. This track is still one of my most favorite of all time.
In the midst of an west coast east coast beef pac knew deck verse was fire 🔥 and he couldn’t allow that tight shit on his album. Pac was shrewd. Deck hands down got the best verse and that’s a massive compliment in itself as they were some other fire verses on there.
🧢 🧢 🧢
Wow!! I love hearing the behind the scenes on stuff like this. Now I want to hear the Deck version.
It’s on RUclips
INS was always my favorite, Pac ain't had to be like that
Pac is probably the only dude that ever said “Take INS off my record”.
Pac ain’t wanna get triple bodied on his own track method and red man already got him bar for bar so keeping deck woulda been overkill
Facts
STFU
@@ThugLife-fz5jt PAC actually flowed his ass off and deck part didn't fit.... facts
Michael Peterson Pac did glow his ass off, but Deck’s verse would’ve fit , yo. I disagree with dude saying Meth, and Red bodied Pac though. The whole song is bumpin! Period!
Sean Hennsey big facts
We desperately need a Deck and Kurupt album Two best to ever throw darts
Deck’s verse was so intimidating they took his verse off
not they, tupac
Kurupt could have a second career as a comedian cuz homie cracks me up every interview he does now 🤣

Czarface is on their like 4th or Fith album not including the all instrumentals by 7L i know their Czarface vs MF.Doom & Czarface vs GHOSTFACE....an it's actually a 3 man crew which consist of the REBEL INS .ESOTERIC & 7L dope I always look forward to their new album being released

Joe Harlem Oh ok well my bad Harlem, thanks for the correction though. 😂
Pac couldn't spit lyrical bombs like that.. he was hating on the low
Don’t be dumb Pac was lyrical no doubt about it, but he was too caught up in the “gangster” shit. So he felt he had to make songs about that life all the time which kinda limited his creativity I feel. But I wouldn’t doubt there was lyricists at the time that was better.
@@KolbyGarrett that wasn't all he made songs about my guy
719 YunGn I know just after he signed with death row he made a lot more songs about that life. Believe me I know he made more songs than that one of my favorites from him is the letter 2 my unborn.
You're funny...

Pac knew Deck owns every track he is on.
The rebel is straight dope everyone should listen to the song trouble man and that’s like one of the weaker flows but it’s a dope ass song... inspectah deck trouble man
Inspects Deck would have changed the track.. Like Kendrick does Today.. It was like ‘95.. It was uncharted territory and still sounds kinda funny.. Three Artists do a Song and then the 4th Guy comes in and drops 32bars a bridge and Hook and intro to Their next album!?
Yeah Deck was good but it wasn’t the best verse on the track so it wouldn’t have made a difference.
Ehh decent a lot the verses don’t make sense from wu straight up

2Pac wasn't trying to be outshined by Inspectah Deck.
ruclips.net/video/F21g7YQzCUU/видео.html
Wasn't hard to outshine 2Pac though, He just wasn't lyrical at all
If Pac took Deck’s verse off to not be bodied on his own track, he’d need to take Kurupt, and Meth’s verses off as well.
Lee John OK
Tripp7'nz PAC’s rhyme scheme was dope on
Deadly combination but his Multisyllables wasn’t like it how was on here.
Pac kept shit simple. Once you start doing lyrical miracle shit it fucks up the vibe.
Thats one of my favorite songs of all time! Thanks for the history.
