    Tyres!! A decent set of tyres even on the OEM rims makes a huge difference to the overall performance. Literally improves every aspect of the handling.

    Shifter springs, heavy weighted shift knob, catback exhaust and an awesome sound system are my fav mods.
    I’m thinking about a header and tune, but damn they’re not cheap

    • @AngusOutram

      Awesome list! The header and tune will make the biggest difference!

    Mtec shift springs, mtec clutch spring, filter plus elbow (premium suction kit), better muffler. Before even getting to these especially with warranties budget etc. Then finishing with your list you'll have a naturally friendly car to drive quickly. I also love the throttle pedal relocator for my big feat and a throttle controller is sketchy but makes the car feel so responsive even being a bit of a hack. Throttle body and power blocks once tuned. Chassis rigidity etc to go next level on a basic build whether it's trd door stabilizers or bracing and role stiffening. Trd sound tube changer was a cheap way to get porsche noises too! Very awesome video you deserve more views!

      @AngusOutram  3 года назад +1

      You can change the throttle mapping with a flash tune! you don't need to buy an aftermarket controller. Everything else though I agree, makes the car feel much sportier!

    I like how you say you have driven other 86's and compare them based on the topic youre talking about..makes you a lot more credible on taking your word for it

    I went with UEL headers, OP, FP and cat back, into a OFT tune and trd lowering springs and upgraded bushings and a aluminum DSS driveshaft. Love everything about the car
    Edit: also... the wheels I went to enkei rpf1s with a nitto neo gen tire

      I have heard this is a big issue on these motors. On a stock motor as long as it's not high mileage I'm sure OEM would be fine but this is actually something i'm looking into for my build as i'm a little bit worried the extra power could cause some extra unwanted vibration on the crank

    Thoughts on the 2022 BRZ? I feel like your build eliminates the need for upgrading whether it ends up being NA or Turbo'd. Being NA myself I'm trying to think whether it would be worth trading in for the new model if it's turbo'd or to throw a kit on it as is.

    • @kgthegreatone943
      @kgthegreatone943 3 года назад

      It be cheaper to just buy the turbo, especially if the car is paid off

    • @AngusOutram

      I think more details get released on it soon! I’m hoping for the best but I’m not holding my breath for it. When subaru went from the 207 to the 257 it caused a lot of issues and I feel they might be doing the same with the FA20 to FA24. I really hope the motor is awesome and I can swap a motor in or upgrade to easily get more displacement. But the car looks like a heavy face lift not a new chassis. Kind of like when they went blob eye to Hawkeye. Same chassis but a lot of updates

      Angus Outram suppose I’m curious why guys would do the CTS or whatever that American car is conversion just to buy some cheaper calipers, I presume even a set like yours is likely accessible from even a scrap yard, and to know it just bolts on means it just seems safer to me, designed for, not around

    • @AngusOutram
      @AngusOutram  3 года назад

      Upgrading brake pads doesn't really affect stopping distance or in your case slowing down from speed. It more so will help you with the process of repetitive braking cycles. so depends how long your favourite twisty road goes for :)
