I am pretty unsatisfied with my performance yesterday, yet I can’t really blame myself since my poor performance was a product of a distracting environment.
    Cube: Tornado v3 (Flagship)
I usually don’t post rants in descriptions, but here we go:
If you happen to be reading this, please don’t walk away from someone’s solve while you are judging them. It’s very disrespectful. Everyone pays the same price to compete, so we should all have equal respect for each other. This did not happen during this solve, it was the solve after the 6.9. Luckily, I was granted an extra, but my focus was gone for the rest of the average.
Additionally, parents who attend competitions should also keep in mind that each competitor pays for their results and should be respectful to other competitors. I’m mainly talking about young children who run around being loud during competitions. Of course, the young child is not to blame. They do not know any better. But parents shouldn’t let their kid run around close to the competitor station. It is so distracting, and it can cause a lot of stress and frustration to the competitor since all of their practice leads up to one moment.
Lastly, I just want to say that the purpose of this rant is not to target anyone specifically. I mainly wanted to address my personal experience to emphasize that it is such a bummer that competitors of all speeds have to deal with things out of their control, leading to bad results. We should all be respectful to each other. At the end of the day, we all have the same goal. Do well, and have fun!
