Mike ive been watching you on tv and youtube since i was 13, you've taught me a lot of others all sorts of tactics and baits to use. Your famous saying "NEVER GIVE UP" has got me through some rough days on and off the water, I just want to say thanks for doing what you do. Myself and many other look up to you for wisdom, good luck in all your future tournaments and stay safe on the water.
Great info. Rivers here in New Brunswick Canada starting to cool off even more. I will be fishing in the next couple days when our temperature is in the high 20s. I will be using my crankbaits and jerkbait
A month ago, largemouth were crushing the chug bug while chasing shad here in VA. But lately, topwater lures haven't been getting it done. And while they're still gorging on shad, I've still been catching some quality fish by throwing a chrome/white rooster tail or a silver spoon.
That white and chartreuse 1/2pz terminator tipped with a honeydew bellow gill, getting bit last two weeks up here in central sota. Cranks turned off and buzz baits quit about a week ago. Had to change from a blue gill sunny colors to alewife.
I have watched you since you began in bass fishing. You were one of the youngest ones I’ve seen and you have grown immensely in your field. I think you’re awesome fisherman and also a good instructor.
Headed to KY Lake in two weeks to take my Parents on a week-long fishing trip. I'm expecting the bite to be tough, but hopefully we'll get a few nice bass in the boat. Thanks for the video/Tips...we'll be putting some of these lures to the test.

I just want the temp to drop. Been way to hot to even enjoy fishing here in Mississippi. Still supposed to be in the upper 90's and 100's first two weeks of Sept.
Anything different for small ponds up north during this time? I find it hard to throw crank or jerk baits because the ponds are full of weeds and grass so I would only really throw a fluke or swimbait. Should I substitute a chatter bait or swim jig for a crank bait?

IKE I use a Spinnerbait all the time as well as Chatterbaits. Usually do quite well. I like in Western Kansas. Thanks for sharing 🎣 👍

Simple rubber jigs work for me in spring
Aren't Jerkbaits better for clear water? Would you suggest a rattletrap in dirty water?

Use a 1/4 ounce white spinnerbait. Toss it shallow to shaded areas especially under trees close to bank. 👍
What are your worst lures to use in September, up north?
The first signs of fall fishing, Is when I start catching them
