I thank God for giving us City Alight to make songs such as this one. Whenever I listen to their songs, I always have this urge to go the Bible and look for the source of the lyrics. And when I do read the verses, new things come to mind, and with new things come a deeper appreciation of the word. I've been struggling to keep my commitment in daily Bible readings because of quarantine, but by listening to their songs it motivates me to stand up and read.

We are made from dust, and to dust we will return. And the same dust that God used to form Adam, is the dust that is covered by Jesus's blood.... JUST AS WE ARE COVERED BY HIS BLOOD. I am so ashamed. Before I came to saving faith in Christ I was there in the crowd, scorning him and laughing at him. I didn't know that I was dead. Like completely dead. I've been saved for 6 years now. Still have a lot of sin to work on. Lot of prayer to do. Lot of repenting. But the joy in Christ. It's like nothing else this world has to offer. He was most definitely not a frail man! Even under the burden of the cross...remember he was a carpenter. Have you seen the strength in a carpenter who makes things with his hands? No powertools... picking up those heavy logs and planks. Then for three and a half years he walked criss cross over Israel and surroundings. I am sure He also sometimes rowed the boats..it was not His nature to just sit and be served, although He is worthy of it. A self-disciplined, humble, serving and loving Son of the living God. He was in a state of being inhumanly tortured when He carried that cross... but He was NEVER frail.
Yes you are correct but he had just been flogged, beaten and had not slept. He was certainly frail at least during these moments, going to the cross. Context is key. They said “frail and lonely” I am sure this was not always the case for both.

Show the world how He is the ONLY ONE to have come NOT BORN of the cursed seed of the fallen man, unlike the rest of mankind. Show them how perfectly in keeping with the prophesied Sign of 'virgin with Child' not even the woman had a role in His holy conception - her role being merely to offer her womb for His surrogacy. Show them just how the Word of God elaborates and describes, that having been conceived of the Word and Spirit of God, He is the very Word of God incarnated in His holy & eternal Flesh. He was most definitely not a frail man! Even under the burden of the cross...remember he was a carpenter. Have you seen the strength in a carpenter who makes things with his hands? No powertools... picking up those heavy logs and planks. Then for three and a half years he walked criss cross over Israel and surroundings. I am sure He also sometimes rowed the boats..it was not His nature to just sit and be served, although He is worthy of it. A self-disciplined, humble, serving and loving Son of the living God. He was in a state of being inhumanly tortured when He carried that cross... but He was NEVER frail.
Yes you are correct but he had just been flogged, beaten and had not slept. He was certainly frail at least during these moments, going to the cross. Context is key. They said “frail and lonely” I am sure this was not always the case for both.

I can understand your joy in those lines. But, really, do you not see the utter fallacy of the song in its entirety? Please read my following response to the video and see if you can finally begin to truly understand:
When will you all STOP mocking God and profaning His holy Name before the nations? Why do you lot paint such a pathetic, fragile picture of God when the irrefutable fact is that God has been DISPLAYING His power in all things He has accomplished thus far and shall continue to do so until He has destroyed all evil dominions of men and restored His holy & eternal Kingdom for ever? You dare to relegate the Lord as 'man' like your fallen selves and imagine you are preaching or, as in this case singing, the Gospel!! Read what the Lord has to say about it: "You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit...These things you have done and I kept silent; YOU THOUGH I WAS ALTOGETHER LIKE YOU. But I will rebuke you and accuse you to your face." And why? Because, you conveniently ignore the fact that He is the ONLY ONE to have come NOT BORN of the cursed seed of the fallen man, thus going on to prove neither Sin nor Death have any power over Him. Clearly, His pain in His supreme suffering is not the physical pain as you foolishly imagine and pretend to weep over - or have you not understood Lk 23:28-31 at all? In His supreme Wisdom and Foreknowledge He foresaw the condemnation of those who were brazenly subjecting Him to all that and yet not turning to Him or His Salvation and thus leading many others likewise in their wake. The reason He wept over the physical Jerusalem in advance - Lk 19:41, Lk 13:34-35 etc. What is the point of you lot calling on His holy Name when you neither know or understand His Cup of Suffering nor wish to partake of it yourself in order that you may reconcile many to God???
Before you preach/sing about the Death, Burial and Resurrection of the Lord, you ought to first introduce Him for who He really is. Distinguish Him for who He really is. Show the world how He is the ONLY ONE to have come NOT BORN of the cursed seed of the fallen man, unlike the rest of mankind. Show them how perfectly in keeping with the prophesied Sign of 'virgin with Child' not even the woman had a role in His holy conception - her role being merely to offer her womb for His surrogacy. Show them just how the Word of God elaborates and describes, that having been conceived of the Word and Spirit of God, He is the very Word of God incarnated in His holy & eternal Flesh. Unlike the fallen human race who since the Fall have ended up losing the very Image & Likeness of God in which they were originally created, so that they have come to since bear only the image & likeness of their fallen first father - just as the Gen 5:3 elaborates - and thus utterly and irrefutably exposed in their 'warped trinity' of a perishing Body + a Spiritually-dead Soul + a temporal Spirit-of-life complete with its otherwise irrevocable curses of Sin, Depravity, Degeneration & Death. What a far cry indeed from the Fullness of God's surpassing Holiness displayed by His holy Birth to mark the fulfillment of His prophesied First Coming! Thus also perfectly in keeping with the prophecy of Isa 6:9, displaying the Fullness of the Perfect & Unmarred 'TRIUNE IDENTITY' of God in Him - just as it is revealed therein: The Son given us is the Mighty God who is also called the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace & the Wonderful Counselor. In other words, the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit respectively. Thus proving indubitably He is the very God, the Messiah! Show them how He is the ONLY ONE to have been Transfigured back and forth both in His Heavenly Glory and in His Earthly Glory. Show them how He is the ONLY ONE to have truly & fully Fulfilled, Exemplified and Taught the surpassing Righteousness of God - which to date to their shameful exposure NO MAN has been able to replicate and NONE ever shall!! Show them His wonderful and awesome Deeds which are perfectly concurrent with His Word. For example, the fact that He proved He is the very Creator by showing how the very nature was subjected to Him and recognized Him and obeyed His commands. Let them know why He had to offer Himself as the Perfect Sacrifice for the Salvation of mankind, thus making possible what was otherwise impossible to men! Let them see how their fallen first father chose Death over Life despite God's faithful forewarning and subjected all his descendants, the entire human race, to his accursedness of Death & Relentless Rebellion against God. So that ever since Death is the Evil scepter of power with which men have been ruling this world! Show them how therefore just as God had demonstrated by the creation of the female and brought her forth from out of the male, He fulfilled the prophesy and Broke His own holy & eternal Body, Shed His own holy & eternal Blood and Himself entered the Sleep of Death briefly to likewise bring forth His people, the Redeemed, FROM OUT OF the fallen human race. After all, who but God alone can enter Death and come out of it unscathed to prove He is God indeed! Who but God alone can show us the Way to His holy & eternal Kingdom! Who but God alone can truly & fully Fulfill, Exemplify & Teach His surpassing Holiness! Finally, who but God alone has done all these and so much more and is still working (Jn 5:17) to bring all His holy purposes to fulfillment and has brought up the deserved END to all evil dominions of man and restored His holy & eternal Kingdom for ever!!
