Hey everyone! Modding a keyboard is something I haven't done before but always wanted to try! I had a chance to lube switches, holee mod the stabilizers, band-aid mod & change keycaps to these cute ones! Yes, I know the spacebar is a different profile but I had to use the original because my actual spacebar was missing from my new set 😞. I'm overall very satisfied with the end result! Definitely would do this again!

You should try mock-gasket mounting it. I just put very squishy foam under the PCB to push it up and only tighten the screws down about halfway. Works like a charm

Great video. Those keycaps looks great on the rk84. Have you thought of tape modding it? I have 2 layers on mine and it sounds great.

Looks good, sounds good! Got a question: Is it possible to mod this keyboard (rk84) with low switches? And in general... is it possible to install low profile switches and caps on a normal keyboard? Keep up the good work!
Hey thanks!! Seems like they wont but I haven't tried! I heard low profile switches have different pin placements and stuff.

@@anitaatech I think what he meant "Why did you cut the 'extra leg'?'" around 6:07, i'm also curious though😆. I see a some of modding videos did that without explaining the purpose.
Ahhh I see, you cut off the extra legs to make the bottom flat so that there’s no chance the extra legs make any noise in the housing! Hope that helps!
