@@ObsoleteOddity oh no, THANK YOU! you have no idea what a calming and peaceful effect your voice style has had on me during these crazy times. Often have put your channel on loop at night. I would listen to you read a phone book. pretty sure you'd do some research and have a few good stories to share. : )
Love all your videos, many I still need to watch. 😊👍💛 I'd like to ask if you'd look into and perhaps do some nautical themed stories. Either shipwrecks, ghost stories, sirens, murders at sea, etc. I love anything nautical and just the way you add sounds and visuals, I think you'd do such a lovely job at nautical themed stories. 😁💛 Edit: And lighthouses... I live in Oregon and the Heceta Head Lighthouse is well known to be haunted and has fascinating stories surrounding it. A long history and so intriguing.
Love looking at the old newspapers. It brings you right back to the time when it happened. At the beginning, a lot was made of the knotting technique, but it doesn't seem to have come up at trial. I would have thought that showing that the murderer knew about advanced knots and was able to tie them himself would have been an important link.
What an interesting but very confusing case indeed Oddie I couldn’t pinpoint innocence or not but I really enjoyed this video as always thank you Oddie for all that you do for us and looking forward to your next video ♥️♥️♥️
A very pretty painting Oddie didn't realize you were artistic in that form, well done. Now I am never bored how you present your stories. It's rather interesting to see how each one gets presented. To the story:: for me too many loop holes, too many contradictions in people's interviews. Craig looks the likely suspect but whose to say he is the one. Very confusing like a few others I've seen. By the way heard y'all have bus trouble & costly as well--- the story about it was on the Science channel the other day..Hope it gets fixed looked awful dangerous! Stay safe❤
Thanks very much Sandra, glad you liked it! Yes it was a rather confusing story and we’ll never know all the details as it is so old. I don’t live in Australia now and haven’t done so for 23 years, so I’m not sure what the problems they are having with buses.
Awesome job as usual I'm glad to hear the true stories about serial killers in other countries besides the USA thank you very much and looking forward to the next one
I like going through the old newspaper articles along with you, unfortunately I couldn’t read along after a few lines since I struggle with light text on dark backgrounds. It’s fascinating seeing the actual articles. The animation of the photos is amazing, how do you do that? I’ll have to do a video search, I like learning how things work. Thank you for another great video!
Heyyyy Oddie...I find these very interesting indeed.. chilling to think about what was going on at that time but history always repeats itself... anywho really enjoyed the trip down the rabbit hole I'd hope to hear more about these intriguing stories in due time my friend... great job as always.. smiles from America..
You do an amazing job at teaching us about these crimes. I know people who say "the world is such an evil place, what have we become?". Your videos demonstrate that human nature (positive and negative) was alive and well in the 1930s. And way before (from other videos). Being evil is not a new thing. Been around forever.
Thank you so much Caylene, that’s very kind of you - glad you enjoyed the presentation. Yes nothing much has changed as far as Human Nature is concerned, we just have more media coverage of it - and of course more people in the world.
I love your story telling voice. I think you would do a wonderful job telling the tale of Dorothea Puente in Sacramento California. She was an awful killer in the 1980’s. I hope you look into it. Thank you and keep up the good work. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I grew up outside of Sacramento and remember seeing it on the news. I was a kid but it scared me. As a teen I saw the house,, I couldn’t believe how long her terror went on.
Hello, Yes I thoroughly enjoy the newapaper clippings and additional commentary. I like discussing stories, mysteries and hearing what you think. I have been watching and being engrossingly enthralled since before you narrated them. The silent ones. Super creepy. Thank you for everything you and Oddette come up with.
I've never heard of this case until now, and I enjoyed your presentation. I'm not sure Craig killed Bessie O'Connor. She gave me the impression, hurrying home after her swim and rushing out again, that she was going to meet somebody. I'd be interested to read the police file of her case and compare it to the other cases.
My dad was born in Redfern in 1920 & I think I should clarify something. Redfern in the roaring twenties was not a posh area. It was a very tough area due to gangs, and poverty. Squizzy Taylor and his kind, ran Redfern.
I enjoy the micro fiche. If and when I like I can pause and read beyond your narrative, but I listen to every word. And, I like the fact that microfiche tells us what was known at the moment of trial, plus there is historical value in observing societal changes from the era being focused on. Yes, more please.
I just spent an hour & a half on an almost 40 min Oddie video here, boreing ?! ....... heavens NO !! Fascinating is more like it, like being in a time machine. And your art work of the house was really nice !🤗🤗🤗 So nice of you to do that for those people. (may they be resting in peace now🕯🙏. I hope you brought your Mr. 'mop/sun glasses',with you when you moved. (😉-- hey, it's in the am's time when I'm writing this) I read as much as I could with a coin magnifier, even the ads. (The 'artery ad' was funny) Even one part in a newspaper you showed us mentioned useing the 'truth drug' and why didn't they use it? If they'd of used it= it would have cleared up alot of 'stuff'. I luv the way you cleverly make each & every video no matter what the subject matter is. Just missed seeing the 'ghost' in the neat moving car, seems it was seen before in another video 😉😉 eh? The driver was hurrying to buy some wine at 9:01 I think it was, a Mr. Beau's fine wines shop I believe. 🏩Beau's, 🍷🍾Wines -----🚗beep ! As far as the 'X' Mrs. found dead in a gas filled apt, I don't believe she killed herself. Was her 'X' husband out of jail at the time or maybe she was 'killed' to shut her up? Maybe she had 'dirt' on the cops/court? Even if 'X' hubbie was still in jail, he may have 'ordered a hit, and or ' maybe while still in prsion, that happens in todays time. That park reminds me of Leaken (sp?) or Lecken Park in Baltimore. Crazy, scary park where murders take place there, & also many bodies are just dumped there, including babys, eighter from teenagers or ladies of the night, or who knows. A man's body was tortured, & beaten, set on fire & dumped into what they call 'the devils well'. The guy's blood stains still can be see on inside of a side of a wall that's inside the well even after it happened years ago. They never found out who did it. So yeah, if they'd used sodium penathol (truth drug) back then & now maybe many cases could could have been solved back then & now. But the we wouldn't have as many wonderful Oddie videos like this. Great job as always Mr. " B " I hope you & your Mrs & fur-babies have many nice relaxing sunny days before the cold of winter starts once again.🌲👒/🍻\🎩 🐱🐅🌼🌲 🍺\👻
Thank you so much for your kind feedback Ruth, very much appreciated! You don’t miss any of the details, I like that - yes nobody seem to notice “Beau’s Wines, you were the only one ☝🏻 I would definitely say Centennial Park is nowhere is near as bad as that park in Baltimore, the murders that took place were over a long period of time - and I believe in the park that you mentioned they are quite often. Hope you have a fantastic weekend my friend and look out for the new video on Patreon coming to this weekend, the Halloween horror continues!

This was another fascinating story, thank you Oddie! I did enjoy the format as well. Also, I found it curious at 13:06 in showing the map of possible connected murders that there is a Lucy Brown Craig found in 1940. I wonder if that was simply coincidence 🤔
It seems that, yes, he's the culprit of those murders.. This presentation is as good as the others.. What's important for me is how you deliver the story.. 👍👍👍 This story is definitely intriguing.. Thanks, Oddie.. More power!
I'm really enjoying your stories and channel. I learned of you by Ron with Faces of the Forgotten. Your art work and brining those gone back to life is fascinating!
Hello, Australian here, I have lived in or near Sydney for most of my 61 years 😀... Redfern is quite yuppie now, tho there are, as with all ( or most) places, not so nice patches.. I know nothing about this, and I like looking into and learning about Sydney's vintage crimes... Thank you for doing this, it was fascinating and very enjoyable
@@ObsoleteOddity Actually, the Everleigh Street environs of Redfern were completely refurbished in the late 1980s as a new comfortable housing estate for the indigenous community, within three years, most of the places were so severely damaged again as to be unlivable and many were demolished. I haven't really seen what has become of that area of Redfern since the mid 1990s, however there's been a lot of redevelopment elsewhere in Redfern and it has become more cosmopolitan and less of a slum. It's a shame that women who used to walk the streets and ply their trade for survival have never been looked upon more kindly. Back when these women were doing this, women were often not welcome in the mainstream workforce and they might not have been able to find a man to marry them after the death toll of the First World War thinning out the numbers of available men and some of these women might not have had fathers who didn't die or become broken or maimed beyond the ability to work and support them, so there weren't a variety of options. Hopefully the image of those in this industry will improve over time as more people find acquaintances in the industry and realise that it's almost always the last resort after all other options for lucrative work have failed, for reasons too numerous to mention. I tend to think of the people in the industry as 'intimate pleasure technicians' (deserving of respect for the risks involved in the job), rather than the derogatory P word 😊
I agree with you about the ghosts of Centennial Park. I lived in Kensington as a kid and went to School in Randwick. We had our ‘ sports day ‘ every week in Queens Park. I had a couple of friends who lived across from Centennial Park. More than once l felt like I was being watched or followed when I coming home from there on Saturday nights from my pals homes. Nobody was there - the streets were empty. I would also get ( what we called back then ) bad vibes coming from the Park. Came to know that was a bad place after dark - both from human and non-human sources. Great video, once again. Thanks.
I used to cycle around Centennial Park after work, and I must admit when it got dark it did get creepy, and as you say human and nonhuman entities were roaming. Thank you for your great feedback my friend!
@@ObsoleteOddity Strange that you mentioned dusk. A few years ago I moved back to Kensington, all be it briefly, and on several occasions I found myself once again, walking around Centennial Park. My tax agent was based in Bondi Junction and on two occasions ( Tax time two years apart ) I started to walk everywhere, just to get a little more healthy. I became aware that during the day the park felt just like a park, but on those two occasions, I found myself walking by the park around late afternoon/early evening and, I swear to God, I could actually fell the atmosphere changing- getting darker. I was going to mention this at the end of the above message, but I didn’t want to bang-on about it to much. But since you mentioned it. . .
You’re right, during the day it felt more or less like a park - although I witnessed some pretty weird things happen even during the daylight hours, but at night it was indeed a different story - the darkness covered many crimes. Plus on top of that all the energy from previous deaths and sadness, made for a very eerie feeling.
If Craig was sentenced March 1933 wouldnt Hilda White's murder December 11 1932 be before the trial not after? What am I missing, probably very obvious can anyone help. I love this style of investigating old crime.

Thank you also for the lovely compliment about the painting, much appreciated 😊
Thank you for bright pictures of the newspaper and street with an old car.I remember the falling apart newspaper.Oddie is never tired. Thanks
Yes the old crimes from the microfiche.
Actually I'm just happy to be able to hear your voice. Any style you do is ok by me. 💜😊💂🎩👍👋.
Much appreciated, thank you kindly!
I like whatever you post so, my vote is you do what you feel when making a video.
I really appreciate that, thank you.
So kind of you, thank you very much.

*Obsolete Oddity Australian Vintage 1932 Sydney's Serial Killer appreciate your videos Oddity Listening from Mass USA TYVM 💙*
Edit: And lighthouses... I live in Oregon and the Heceta Head Lighthouse is well known to be haunted and has fascinating stories surrounding it. A long history and so intriguing.
Thank you so much for reaching out with your kind feedback 😊
@@ObsoleteOddity Thank you for responding sir, do you think you might do any nautical themed stories?
I found this presentation fascinating.
Thank you so much! 😊
Love looking at the old newspapers. It brings you right back to the time when it happened. At the beginning, a lot was made of the knotting technique, but it doesn't seem to have come up at trial. I would have thought that showing that the murderer knew about advanced knots and was able to tie them himself would have been an important link.
And you enjoyed it!
Yes I don’t know why either the knotting technique was not explained any further after that.
What an interesting but very confusing case indeed Oddie I couldn’t pinpoint innocence or not but I really enjoyed this video as always thank you Oddie for all that you do for us and looking forward to your next video ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much for reaching out with your kind feedback 😊
Great video, you did a fantastic job and I like seeing the old newspapers
Very much appreciated Kimberly!
I was pleased to see that the amazing Oddie uploaded another great case
That’s very kind of you Bobby, thank you very much 😊
Good afternoon, Oddie! I hope you're doing well! Thank You!
Good morning!
I really enjoyed this. Yes please keep doing down the rabbit hole. 😊😊😊
I appreciate that Pamela, thank you so much for your positive feedback 🙏😊
Thank you for another great story!! I’m already looking forward to the next 🌻
Thank you! 😊 Glad you enjoyed the presentation my friend!
I really like the usual formatting. Reading the articles is okay, but I prefer the way you enhance the stories with animation and photos.
The traditional format will always be a staple, but I just try different ideas from time to time.
You know what Oddie I love old news articles so I’m good with it
So glad you enjoyed the presentation - very much appreciated 😊
Oh my dear Oddie we all certainly need a strong cup of tea after this one Totally amazing so very interesting enthralling very nice work mate
Very happy was to your liking Patricia, thank you so much for your kind feedback 😊🙏
Thank you for making lesser known cases and yes, I would definitely like more videos like that.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you.
Awesome job as usual I'm glad to hear the true stories about serial killers in other countries besides the USA thank you very much and looking forward to the next one
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for your feedback Barney!
Wow,this one is skillfully told, though disturbing!! Craig was beaten into a confession. I like the newspaper coverage.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m happy to hear that Sharrie, thank you so much for your great feedback 😊😯
@@ObsoleteOddity you're so very welcome ☺️
Nothing like Oddie stories on a lazy Sunday afternoon 💯❤️
Hope you enjoy it is, thank you!
It's the BEST!!
I love this format. Very interesting!
Thank you 🙏
Enjoyed this so much!
I appreciate that, thank you!
More Aussie stories please
Wonderful story. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you :)
I hope you're doing well Oddie Beau 😘
Ty for another awesome video ☺️
Thank you so much Jessica! 😊
@@ObsoleteOddity you're welcome hun
I love your story telling voice. I think you would do a wonderful job telling the tale of Dorothea Puente in Sacramento California. She was an awful killer in the 1980’s. I hope you look into it. Thank you and keep up the good work. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
OoF she's horrible!
Mrs Puente was a real piece of work wasn't she!
I really appreciate your positive feedback - thank you very much :)
I don't mind you sharing these. It's all interesting.
Thank you so much! 😊
Glad you’re enjoying the microfiche, yes it does give a very important insight into peoples mindset and values back then.
Cool story about where you lived. Would love to see more photos of the home. Wow
Glad you enjoyed it Dawn, thank you!
(😉-- hey, it's in the am's time when I'm writing this)
I read as much as I could with a coin magnifier, even the ads. (The 'artery ad' was funny)
Even one part in a newspaper you showed us mentioned useing the 'truth drug' and why didn't they use it?
I hope you & your Mrs & fur-babies have many nice relaxing sunny days before the cold of winter starts once again.🌲👒/🍻\🎩 🐱🐅🌼🌲 🍺\👻
Thank you so much for your kind feedback Ruth, very much appreciated!
You don’t miss any of the details, I like that - yes nobody seem to notice “Beau’s Wines, you were the only one ☝🏻
I would definitely say Centennial Park is nowhere is near as bad as that park in Baltimore, the murders that took place were over a long period of time - and I believe in the park that you mentioned they are quite often.
Hope you have a fantastic weekend my friend and look out for the new video on Patreon coming to this weekend, the Halloween horror continues!
Happy Sunday Oddie!! Blessings!!!
Happy Sunday to you too my friend!
Hi oddie hope ur well love from Ireland x
I really appreciate that, thank you.
Mid-week, whenever, whatever, how ever you want to share is perfect. That is quite the party house, painting gives a nice feeling, a man of many hats. Consider yourself hugged. 🤗
Glad you enjoyed it Nancy, and thank you for the lovely compliment
So love your voice. Thank you it was a great listen again!
I really appreciate that, thank you.
I like your stories they're very interesting thanks for making them
Glad you enjoyed them, thank you for your feedback 🙏
This was another fascinating story, thank you Oddie! I did enjoy the format as well. Also, I found it curious at 13:06 in showing the map of possible connected murders that there is a Lucy Brown Craig found in 1940. I wonder if that was simply coincidence 🤔
Thank you Cindy, much appreciated!
Well spotted, interesting coincidence…or perhaps not 😮
I noticed that, too, & was wondering at the possible coincidence or if related.
It seems that, yes, he's the culprit of those murders..
This presentation is as good as the others.. What's important for me is how you deliver the story.. 👍👍👍
This story is definitely intriguing.. Thanks, Oddie..
More power!
Thank you for your vote of confidence my friend, glad you enjoyed the presentation and thank you so much for your positive feedback.
Excellent, as always!

@@ObsoleteOddity I am enjoying ty so much
Hello, Australian here, I have lived in or near Sydney for most of my 61 years 😀...
Redfern is quite yuppie now, tho there are, as with all ( or most) places, not so nice patches..
I know nothing about this, and I like looking into and learning about Sydney's vintage crimes...
Thank you for doing this, it was fascinating and very enjoyable
Thanks for letting me know and thank you for your great feedback!
Appreciate you sharing this one🧡
Thank you 🙏
I agree with you about the ghosts of Centennial Park.
Thanks for all you do to bring us these stories Oddie!💛🍺😎🍺
That’s very kind of you Valerie, and thank you so much for the donation, so much appreciated 🙏😊

If Craig was sentenced March 1933 wouldnt Hilda White's murder December 11 1932 be before the trial not after? What am I missing, probably very obvious can anyone help. I love this style of investigating old crime.
Mr Oddie, no need to excuse yourself for being cynical, because you're being honest and correct...much like today in this world!!!🙏👌🦉❣️
