$20,000,000/550k =$36.60 per coffee farmer in Columbia per annum and that to me is beyond unacceptable and ruthless. The coffee industry needs a urgent reform to not only protect the people in the farming sector. living cost is rising everywhere and it is not economically viable and ethical to run a farm like this if the profit for the farmers doesn’t at least match the amount they invest in the goods they produce and sell, and I strongly believe that this is going to hit back at some point down the line to the coffee industry as a whole. We really need to wake up to this before it’s too late🤷🏽♂️
For my senior graduation trip, I went to Medellin, Colombia. Chose Colombia because I’m a huge coffee nerd. My family and I went to THIS EXACT coffee farm!! Crazy!
This new generation of videos you're making is incredible. They're like your amazing classic vlogs but with more of a real message/educational element to them I LOVE IT!
Colombian coffee the best in the world. Every place coffee shop, restaurant I only buy Colombian coffee I normally asked whenever I want a cap of coffee
Yesss anouther upload, you're killin it Louis! We just started with youtube as travel vloggers and we hope to see as much of the world as you some day.😊
Amazing video, I have always liked the Columbian coffee. Starbucks gets most of their coffee from Indonesia, they grow coffee at low altitudes in Indonesia, because the turnover of the coffee is high in lower altitudes, and Starbucks coffee is so much in demand that they always want to buy more coffee.
Louis what's up? It's OG on this channel! Man Iove coffee and I drink if everyday. I like the strong stuff so my go to is Bustello and any other ones I can get a hold on. Another hit on the vlog! Feeling these vibes! Like I always tell you, keep them coming!
Great video, I've been thinking about visiting a coffee farm like this and definitely want to now. Always wanted to try the raw bean, doubt it'll be that great but I love coffee. These farmers are undervalued for sure
Coffee isn't only grown at high altitudes, Robusta coffee is grown at elevations between sea level and about 800m, but usually needs higher temperatures...24 to 30C; so I'm not sure you could grow it outside in LA.
We were just in Puerto Rico and got back last Tuesday night. The coffee there was amazing, we are editing and should have a 4 part series for our PR trip
I would recommend going to Bucaramanga, specifically la mesa de los santos where the Chicamocha mountains are, Pereira(los termales)- basically natural hot springs and Capurgana in el Choco since it is a natural reserve where there are nice beaches. :)
Coffee plants don't have to grow in high altitude, I saw plantations in Ecuador almost at sea level :) not sure if some specific types need high altitude tho, but I heard Raya saying that the plants have to, but apparently not all of them😃 Nice to see another travel video Luis!
Your dedication and hard work making your videos inspires me to keep making videos even though I only have 3k and am pretty new to RUclips, keep going Lous!
wooooah, i haven't watched your videos in a while but then i see youre in my hoods man! Awesooooome :D ! (well i live in Sweden but all my relatives are there and from there, I miss it)
Is there a way for us to ensure we’re buying better so more money ends up with the farmers? Sadly farming is always the lowest part of the money, same with milk/meat, but it can and should change
the way coffee is grown is almost the same everywhere. /coffee have to be hand picked, is planted in small or middle size farms close to a mountain slope.
Kind if feel the coffee from that machine she's using should be poured in to a goblet. We just got back from a trip to Puerto Rico where the coffee was so delicious. I didn't even know PR was a coffee producing region. We'll be posting those vlogs in a week
Excellent video today Louis. I hope you have a fantastic day, night, & evening. Stay cool, stay awesome, stay swag, stay unstoppable, stay incredible, stay popular, stay great, keep having fun, keep being the best Traveler RUclipsr, & stay strong Louis. Keep up the good work. Enjoy your Sunday.👑☺️👍🙏🏆
Organic is the norm in Colombia., not the exception. When living there I never ate frozen anything. Meat was bought daily from a butcher, fruits and vegetables bought from the vendor around the corner. Kinda sucks having to pay extra at Trader Joe's for organic food :(
the 20 million smh is really scary. A middleman person who does nothing for the coffee and scrapes up a couple of billion is disgusting. Poor people growing are dying from malnutrition and easily curable diseases. Shameless folks
lo más gracioso es que es café que se produce en estas tierras, el mismo que nos compran por poco precio y luego nos revenden a precios inflados...así estamos... aguante el Cali :3
20 millions its all they get. Where do they get those numbers from? Sorry I do not buy it. We have to double check these guide's numbers. Same happened with the guy in Cartagena that said the colonial houses dated back 250 years, yet the city was founded in 1533. You do the math.

Andreslt97 you knew what I meant 🤷🏽♂️
@@user-ql8ez2kh8k Spell it right though
@@Andreslt97 Yeah, let´s talk about spelling and forget those atrocious numbers.
@@goop_6537 Add a full stop at the end of your sentence though if it bothers you so much.

What’s your favourite method Louis for brewing coffee?
Such an underrated channel. There should be more views and subs.

We all know what Columbia is famous for and it aint bloody coffee!
Eh, dude Colombia is the one with Coffee stuff, not the district /brand Columbia 😉
