Ur aquarium has so many things in it when feeding they wont be hard to find the food? As albino bichir have like blind vision of 80%, i want to decorate my tanks but when i gave foods pellets he uses sniff to finds it quite hard to get food and other fish has ate all and its only 2 fishes in a tank😂 any guide?
Zellschutz Antioxy good point. They appear to have an acute sense of smell and can zero in on the general location of the food. Shouldn’t be a problem!

All aquarium fish will need a filter unless you keep them outside in a mature pond with good air exchange. No difference with the bichirs except they need access to the surface to fill air as they may drown. Have you kept any fish before?
How long did it take for him to get that size? I feed my albinos and polli three times a day got em at the same size the polli is pushing six inches where the albino is maybe 4.5 got em at 3 inches

Yes! For this particular species you can have rainbowfish, medium peaceful cichlids, catfish (except plecos), large gouramis, fast/big tetras etc.

They both get to be about the same size when grown
There's a risk it might be eaten but if they are raised together it'll probably be ok. Just monitor closely especially during feeding time.

9-12 months depending on genetics, feeding and water change schedule. It may max out at 8 or 9 all the way to maybe a foot if you're lucky.

Should be ok, they occupy different levels. Watch for fin nipping. Also if the barbs are small enough they may be eaten by the Bichir.

Ryan Buckingham should be ok. You can keep it with a leopard ctenopoma and raise them together. Should be a nice tank!
